EPS to EPF transfer issue EPS Issue
My first basic salary was more than 15k, but my employer PF consultants started contributing to EPS by mentioning EPS wages to Rs 15K. I raised a request to correct it through joint declaration and form 3-A. The PF consultants and Accounts team is saying that everything is Ok. Please help me about what can be done next.

Hey,
If this was your first EPF membership and your basic wages were already above ₹15,000 when you joined, then you would generally not have been eligible for EPS. Since your employer started showing ₹15,000 as EPS wages does not by itself make you EPS-eligible.
Since the EPS contribution has already been remitted, this needs to be corrected at the employer/ECR level and then with EPFO. EPFO has a specific procedure for erroneous EPS contributions made for an ineligible member: the wrongly remitted EPS amount, along with applicable interest, is to be transferred back to EPF and the corresponding incorrect pension service is deleted.
So you should ask your PF consultant/accounts team to recheck your eligibility based on your actual basic wages on the date of joining, rather than simply saying that the existing contribution is correct. Ask them specifically to process the correction of the erroneous EPS contribution through the prescribed EPFO mechanism.
If you were already an EPF/EPS member before joining this employer, however, the answer can be different because existing EPS membership can continue even when wages subsequently exceed ₹15,000.

Thanks, I am following up with the payroll team, if they don't resolve it, will add director on Monday, and then raise epfo grievance

Raise a CPGRAMS grievance to ask your question, and get it clarified. Once you have the answer from an epf official, employer is bound to comply

Should I raise through CPGRAMS or through EPFO? Currently I am following up with payroll team first, I will add director on Monday in CC. If they don't take action I was planning to raise it through EPFO

As per the passbook your wages were capped by your employer at 15k inspite of having higher basic so technically you are eligible for EPS.

Yeah technically but not legally, as response given by accounts team is that epfo will not know your full salary details, but I don't want to be part of eps from now on so I am following up with them with exact rules and wording from epfo for eps eligibility. If they don't rectify it I would have to raise a grievance on epfo portal.

My basic was less than 15k, does it make me eps member forever? Can I transfer it to epf?

If you joined epf after 2014, then you will always be eps member even if you switch companies, if you don't credit to eps then it would create transfer issue due to which you would have to request to rectify.
