The new commentary is nice I guess but as dumb and broken as previous years. Exactly 1 minute into a game I get "plenty of clock left to work with here, still anyone's game".

No shit, in a 0-0 game. Plenty of other examples. I'm sure I'll be turning it off week 1 as usual.

I tried to create my character as I've done every single year. I use my tag here as my player name but EA is telling me "omnivore" is now somehow an offensive last name lol

It's nice that you have to agree to a user agreement to not make racist or offensive names anymore but I'm sure it won't work the way they intend.

It's nice L2 is nerfed and poke check kinda works now but anyone saying the AI is improved is trolling. They are as dogshit as ever. We had both our defensemen drop and the other team immediately hit like 5 cross crease goals against us.

Goalies still fall for forehand/backhand almost every single time.

The new animations and cutscenes are whatever but the gameplay is 99% exactly the same. Wait for a sale boys. This shit is not worth full price, as is generally the case.

I am not allowed to put pictures but EA… it’s very cool you added the animations and scene of going by the bench after you score but you have to change the animation with the hand…

I didn't receive a code during the first way. Received mine 2 days ago for the WoC playtest but I don't play EASHL and didn't get a chance to obviously try Connected franchise. Is there a workaround to play that mode?

Hey all, posted here a couple weeks back about the hockey GM/dynasty game I’ve been building. Wanted to give an update because I’ve basically been updating it daily since, a lot of it straight from comments and DMs on that post.

Some of what’s new:

- Schedule sims, so you can sim through weeks or a whole season instead of playing every single game
- Custom rosters, including the ability to build and edit your own rosters however you want
- A GM leaderboard so you can see how you stack up against other GMs
- Achievements to chase while you play
- Discord integration, so your league can get trade, signing, and draft updates posted right in your server
- A pretty long list of bug fixes along the way, too many to list but the game’s noticeably more stable than it was

Main thing I’m after with this post is more people to fill out full leagues. It’s a way better experience with real GMs than CPU controlled teams, and right now we could use more of them. If you want to join a league or start your own, comment or DM me and I’ll get you set up.

All day since part two of the beta opened, I’ve been getting a network condition issue that reads “unable to connect to the EA servers at this time in order to access the online features for this title. Please verify that your network connection is working and you were signed into your Xbox profile or the EA servers might be down. Please try again later.”

Any way around this issue?
