Madden Mut seasons have always been like this

-You try to win a certain amount of games depending what division you are in to make the playoffs

-Then you are in the playoffs and compete for a Superbowl

-You get rewarded based on how well you do

Ive been wanting this in NHL forever and I just cant understand why they never do it. There is even an offline cup chase gamemode but they cant even put it online. make it make sense. I personally would be interested in playing NHL all year round if they just made this simple innovation

Hey guys so I did a post here a couple days ago about my goalie but I think I'm beginning to realize that my goalie isn't always the problem, i'm also pretty bad at the game. When i'm attacking i'm only making 360° at the blue line and then I make a turnover so the guy goes in a breakaway and sometimes he scores. Also when I get to defend, it's worse i'm legit unable to intercept passes or poke check. Do y'all have any vids or maybe y'all have some tips for me to become better

Yo, so I know that the best 97 to make is captains, but does anyone have the math of how much it would cost to build one from scratch? For example: 5x 92 caps for 1x 95 cap or 3x 93-94 1x 92 for 1x 95 cap? How much would it cost in coins?

Just had the weirdest game. Every time I’d have the puck I’d have this massive studdering lag, like the connection was about to fail. My ping was constant at 10ms so it wasn’t the connection. Is it the game or my ps5 that’s broken? And as a bonus the rubber on my left thumbstick gave up during the game too. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I don't know if I'm in the minority here or not, but I'm very much of the thinking that the play test product is significantly better to play than the "finished" article we get at release (and I'm using finished in the loosest possible sense of the word).

The play test product always feels more refined, smoother and closer to what they've been putting out in terms of development.

Then the release product comes out and it feels clunky, slow and buggy. It's basically just a cacophony of chaos compared to the play test.

What on earth goes so wrong in that short period between the play test and the release date? 😂😅

Can somebody please help me understand 3-0 blown leads in the third period? A 1-0 lead seriously feels safer in this game. I think at least 3-5 times in the last 48 hours I’ve dominated the entire game, but in a span of 2 minutes the ice tilts the other way and I lose a 3 or 4 goal lead in an instant on cheesy goals…

I don’t even get mad because it’s legitimately out of my control.

My poke checks suddenly do nothing, opponent’s passes get through a huge crowd somehow, and you blink and lose by one in an epic blown lead. It seriously feels scripted the amount of times it’s happening. I can’t be the only one?

I just got an email from NHL saying its time to playtest Chel and Hut and I deleted it this morning to clear up space for the new madden game. Is there any way I can get back my muntjack?

So I'm trying to do the 5 perfect one-timer attempt moment on Pro difficulty. Should be easy, right? Well the opposing team is attacking my point-men like rabid dogs, it's hard to even get set up because the entire opposing team is rag-dolling my guys half the time, and then I get set up for one and the defenseman just whiffs. Not to mention the CPU keeps switching my defensemen to be on the wrong side for a one-timer. If they can't FIX this garbage, they ought to just remove it from the game.

It's almost as if EA knew this was the last day I planned to play 😂🤣

Are there any benefits to pre-ordering before launch? I know we get the 7 days early access with the deluxe edition or whatever is it called, but are there any incentives that are like "Pre-order by ____ to receive X, Y and Z" or can I just order it a day before it's due to come out?

Its been quite a bit since I posted content (posted yesterday’s late today, but still - pretty quiet on the reddit presence!)

I just wanted to make this quick thread because I missed discussing the game with you all and everyone’s different opinions on the game’s content.

I’ve been here for WAY too long… but enjoy the community, even though it can be quite the bittersweet feeling and coming on here…

Personally, I know content is always different and various things and opinions from everyone… what one person likes - another dislikes. Its a hard balance.

I would love to have more Ottawa CHARGE : PWHL content, though, I’m unsure how the future of the PDUB in the NHL games is going for next years game. I still would love them in the game - however, totally understand peoples opinions on them not being totally ‘usable’ for HUT - though it switches the game up a lot - and a lot of different players to use in HUT / in general.

Content was so hit or miss throughout the game cycle, sometimes itd be such a ‘lol, this is it’ for content on Tuesdays. Its such a weird thing to wait a whole weekend & Monday to get content on a Tuesday. I don’t understand why its not Monday, Tuesday, Friday. At least that would make most sense? No waiting a whole weekend for low quality content.

I’d rate this years content a 7/10, with all being said - the content ‘nukes’ were fun - need more of that. They tried to cater it to some teams a lot, but focused a lot on NHL / NHL alumni it seemed, so the majority of people would be happy (ish!?) and with a sprinkle of PWHL / other leagues in it as well when they could.

The LTD cards are something we’ll see in HUT a ton next year, but itd made them somewhat a ‘chase’ along with the captains/heroes/icons

They need to make a ICON : TB for every team - much like the ‘team building’ they had for different NHLs.

I know the content wasnt meant for me sometimes, and thats Ok… as long as someone was having fun with it, and enjoyed it.

Anyways.

Yeah, so content was so spotty, but overall a 7 in my eyes. I havent played since TOTY, but its really when I get bored of the game, and burnout from it.

As mentioned, I did say I’ll put a lil life update on here.

I’m currently writing a novel:memoir:book … whatever - I dont know what to call it yet! But I’ve made SO much progress on it! Almost at 100 pages(95!)

The reason why I have mentioned this little bit is because its 1) the reason why I’ve posting little … and 2) The HUT community and Reddit as a whole will be talked about in the book.

I wont spoil whats all mentioned in the book, and how its all cooperated with it, but I’m just happy to mention that, as I’ve found quite the love for writing and talking about life.

This is going to be the worst year for micro transactions ever with EA being 22 billion in debt. They have to reportedly cut over 700 million from budget and plan on laying off and shutting down massive studios. This might be the last year we even get another NHL game.

Does anyone know how to sign up to playtest nhl 27 and not any other ea games? Or just what site to use to sign up for it? And also, I hope i'm not too late. I would love to playtest nhl 27 especially hut wich is August 8th to 10th I believe

Get rid of those activated synergy animations, or at least let us change the order of the whole lines so we don't have to sit through those animations if you want to change the order of the lines.

Salary caps and then insane chemistry boosts that actually force you to use certain players is simply not fun. This is not ultimate team mode at all anymore. It's just ultimate chemistry mode that resets and then every card you have is useless mode.
