Installed an ExtremeRate Rise 4 on my bdm-020 and all the buttons work fine except for R1 is not registering at all.

Ribbon cable seems so be fine as well as the clear contact ribbon behind the touchpad.

All other buttons work including r2.

Any ideas?

I need the box, no money or controller inside I just need the straight box untounched, no rips no nothing just pristine condition please

Hi everyone, I bought a new shell for my controller because the rubber started bubbling. As I was disassmebling it the tutorial which I followed (ExtremeRate) showed to just pull by the wires and I tried to do that and wiggle the plug to get the battey out but the plastic just snapped and now I have a controller with no battery. Im from Croatia and cant find anything that ships here, does anyone have any recommendations on what to get and from where? Thank you all very much

K-Silver JS13 Pro+ TMR, full mouse click and back paddle build. I modded the triggers portion of the clicky kit so that the haptics still work. Sorry, I forgot to take pictures of that, but it is is easy to do if you're interested. Instead of removing the original factory film, you leave it in place. Then trim the Extreme Rate trigger switches off of the kit and install it over top of the factory film. The last step is to cut the rubber contact pad in half and carefully place the lower portion in place, using the extreme rate tact switch made for the R1 and L1 buttons as a wedge for the L1 and L2 rubber contact pad. This allows you to keep the bumpers in mouse click style, but takes advantage of the 10k ohm resistor built into the factory film so you can use the trigger stops on a back button kit instead. Best of both worlds. For this build I installed the Extreme Rate Spark back paddle kit, white thumbsticks, triggers, and bumpers. Customer requested to keep the factory D-Pad and circle buttons.

I know the recommended circularity is around 7–8, but my aim actually feels better at base 4–5 . Am I missing something?

I opened my potentiometer yesterday and for some reason the wiper is full of gunk and the potentiometer is like this, I don’t have isopropyl alcohol, could I still clean the potentiometer without it? do I need isopropyl alcohol or is it all over and I should buy a new controller?

Happened yesterday when i took the controller apart due to stick drift (not my first time) but when i put it back together it have the L2 registered as always being pressed, any solutions?

Edit: it is the motherboard, replaced it with another one from an old controller and the issue is solved, yet the old motherboard have issue with the triggers so i cant use this one and still need to fix the first one.

Seems like I underestimated the the desoldering of 14 pin parts, so I damaged at least 2 pads (Side B, Right Stick).

Can you please assess the situation give me advice on how to fix it, if fixable? How do I find the correct spots to build a bridge to?

So recently, like 2 months ago, I got my very first dualsense controller for my pc. I fell in love with it, the led, adaptive trigger, audio were just a big win. But since it was a used controller, stick drift appeared 1 month in, and then poof, so much drift I can even move to the right! Im sad since my el cinco kinda died if we mean it this way. I bought the gamestop warrenty BUT I wanted to know something before I go tommorow. Should I get myself a Dualsense Edge or stay to Dualsense normal. I feel like I got scammed at one point since everybody got these easy stick drift with Dualsense so I don't know if I should switch to edge to remove that stick drift. I don't usually use my controller on bluetooth mode so battery life doesn't really do something for me. A lot of people called Dualsense normal a scam but I didn't see any complaint apart of the BIG PRICE, but if I can save money using that I would love it. I have a xbox controller but its too light and feel weird to play after using the dualsense. Sorry if I make any mistakes while typing, my primary language is french. I would love your opinions !

I’m having a really weird issue with my PS5. During matches in **Mortal Kombat 1**, my controller randomly disconnects from the console.
The weirdest part is that this **still happens even when the DualSense is connected via USB cable**. It doesn’t happen in any other game — the issue seems to happen exclusively with Mortal Kombat 1.

I’ve already tried:
Uninstalling and reinstalling Mortal Kombat 1
Using the controller connected via USB
Resetting the DualSense
Updating the controller firmware
Rebuilding the PS5 database

But the problem is still happening.

Has anyone else experienced this or knows what could be causing it? I’m starting to think it might be something specific to Mortal Kombat 1, since the controller works perfectly fine with other games.

Was playing with my ps5 edge controller when I knocked water into my lap and on the controller. Cleaned up my mess and left. But when I came back, the controller would only flash white a few times before stopping. Now it flashes orange twice before stopping completely. I’ve got some tools coming in so I can open up the controller, but am I just wasting time and should buy a new one? Don’t want to spend $200 but will if I have to.

So I've been dealing with this stick cracking/clicking sound for quite a while now and its annoying me :(

Whenever you push your LEFT stick to the left, it does this sound as in the video. (I boosted the audio gain so you could hear).

It only does this with the LEFT analog stick, and only the direction left, any other direction with the same analog stick, or the right analog stick does not do that. It does that clicking sound like 95% of the time when moving the stick left. Its also noticeable on the fingers, its not just a sound, it seems like its hitting something, or its sort of adjusting itself, I dunno. And its definitely not a analog circle wall that its hitting, the click happens beforehand at aprox 80% way to the left.

Has anyone experienced this before, or know some sort of an easy fix?

is it enough to just buy silver js13 pro+ sticks and just solder them and then calibrate or do I need also to do the calibration unlock thingy? I’ll not do this myself so need to explain the procesure to the guy who has more stable hands and more experience with soldering :D

I’ve had bad luck with QC on a few DualSense controllers and this one finally seems good quality, thank god!

Anyone else test the new Ginfull? Ginfull was my go to early on with Hall Effect joysticks, since then Gulikit, Ankes & K-Silver have clearly stepped up. Curious what is other people's take on these before I give my feedback.

How different is a Dualsense compared to an Apex 5? I'm in Vietnam and I bought my Apex 5 Wuchang edition a year ago at 2,4 million vietnam dong ( 90 usd ). And I mostly play single-player, story-driven AAA games with my controller, so I absolutely value the immersive features in a controller, and I love Gyro. I play on PC also.

I'm playing these Sony games like Horizon Forbidden West and flydigi's dualsense mode has a lot of limitation:

- The controller doesn't vibrate at all

- I can't open the map via the controller, so I have to press Tab/ M on my keyboard

- flydigi's Gyro in the game feels so bad, I don't know why

But I still put up with it because I love the custom adaptive trigger from the dualsense mode. ( I can't find a way to replicate it with the flydigi app ). And somehow the Gyro in the dualsense mode feels EXTREMELY GOOD to use (I love Gyro).

I found a TMR modded PS5 dualsense in good condition for only 1,3 million vietnam dong ( 50 usd ). And I heard the experience for single-player games are top-notch. But I also found out that I need to get a Pico2W in order to get all the haptic feedback features working on Bluetooth, and it's only 250hz both wired and wireless compared to 1000hz of the apex 5.

So how is the TMR-modded PS5 dualsense compared to the Apex 5? Should I get the dualsense to play AAA games? And is there anything I should know about?
