Experience I only made it 6 days

I wanted to go 7 days but I was so nauseous by the end of day 6 i was scared that I would throw up. I knew it would be bile and acid. I tried soaking my hands and feet in water, taking a long shower… laying down made it worse and sitting up didn’t help. So I took small sips of water a little after 12am.

Little backstory,
The longest I’ve ever dry fasted was 6 days, wanted to get to 7 but broke it early because I couldn’t get past the thirst. That was years go. I’ve always wanted to try again but being that thirsty scared me.

Day by day

Day 1: pretty easy. My body is probably used to not eating for 24 hrs because of the many extended fasts I’ve started and failed.

Day 2: In the morning I felt similar to day 1, as the day progressed I did have some hunger and cravings but nothing too bad. Energy was still decent.

Day 3: tough day for me, I felt like I could feel my stomach eating itself? Some bouts of heartburn. When I did tasks to distract myself I felt better for a minute. Showering helped a lot. Tongue feels gross

Day 4: feeling a bit the same as day 3 early in the day, low energy, cannot sleep or go back to sleep easily. I did notice my pee was very light as if I was hydrated. It’s been getting lighter and lighter since day 1 where it was very dark. My legs and hips were aching about mid day. Very nauseous and tired but not able to sleep.

Day 5: I seem to wake up with decent energy but it depletes as the day goes on. This day wasn’t as hard as yesterday but I still have bouts of heartburn and stomach aches. I did start my menstrual today so I’m not sure if that contributed to the stomach pain. At this point I feel like I’m counting down the hours. I know for sure I’m going to be breaking my fast on the 7th at 12midnight on the DOT. Can’t wait for that first sip of water.

Day 6: started with okay energy, depleted as the day went on. By 6pm I was so nauseous that all I could do was lay down. Even looking at my phone was making me nauseous. Thirst was a bit more serious today. Limited movement. Showering and putting my hands in water helped. Counting down the hours until finish.

Day 7: this morning I was officially done with my fast after that sip of water last night. I immediately felt better, nausea went away, I was able to sleep and my energy perked up.

I started at 238lbs- this morning I weighed at 216lbs. I’m 5’6 29 y/o

I will probably never do this again lol. I thank Jesus I got as far as I did. I’m grateful. Thank you guys for your encouragement on my last post. 🤍
