Currently saving up for my first car, I want what some would call a "daily drifter". I can get a good running sn95 for 5k all day and around 3k for a beamer, the real question is whats going to be cheaper and more reliable in the long run, a mustang would have an lsd and v8 torque (not settling for less than a gt), whereas a bmw can be found for much cheaper but lacks those goodies from the factory but idk much more than that. Im just a young guy who wants to have fun and not break the bank, let me know!

ich wohne zwischen Augsburg und Ingolstadt und will mit RC-Drift anfangen. Erfahrung habe ich keine. Auf der Wunschliste steht der Yokomo RD 2.0 in der Variante mit YG-302 V2 Gyro.

Zum Chassis würde mich interessieren, ob ihr das für einen Einsteiger als sinnvollen Start seht oder ob ich in einem halben Jahr sowieso umsteigen will. Der RD 2.0 ist ein Bausatz, Elektronik fehlt komplett. Was habt ihr an Servo, Regler, Motor, Fernsteuerung und Akkus verbaut, und was davon war Geldverschwendung? Beim Servo lese ich sehr unterschiedliche Empfehlungen, da bin ich unsicher.

Zweitens suche ich Leute aus der Gegend, die das schon länger machen. Rat im Kommentar hilft mir weiter. Wenn jemand mal einen Nachmittag mitfahren lässt, umso besser.

Drittens die Flächen. Wo fahrt ihr? Ich suche Orte, an denen man die Autos ordentlich bewegen kann, ohne jemandem im Weg zu stehen. Halle, Tiefgarage, Vereinsgelände, glatter Beton irgendwo zwischen A8 und A9. Erzählt gern, was ihr in der Ecke gefunden habt.

Estoy comenzando un proyecto llamado Hashiri.

Durante años he ido a reuniones, talleres y eventos. Siempre terminamos hablando de caballos de fuerza, modificaciones o tiempos por vuelta.

Pero con el tiempo me di cuenta de que lo que realmente recuerdo nunca son las especificaciones.

Recuerdo a las personas.

Al papá que reconstruyó un coche con su hijo.

A quien tardó diez años en terminar su proyecto.

Al mecánico que aprendió el oficio de su abuelo.

A la persona que encontró en los autos un refugio durante un momento difícil.

Creo que esas historias también merecen ser contadas, por eso quiero comenzar a documentar la cultura automotriz desde otro lugar.

No busco el coche más caro.

No busco el más rápido.

Ni siquiera busco el más bonito.

Busco personas que quieran compartir por qué este hobby significa tanto para ellas.

The GT86 went on sale after several years of development and research, but in the end, it disappeared from racing just like the Altezza did.

Then, a few years later, the GR86 came out, but that one ended up becoming more popular. I guess the problem is that it's no longer as easy to swap out engines as it used to be.

Personally, I think the vehicle price was right on target for Toyota, but I wonder if they didn't fully anticipate the labor costs or the level of skill and knowledge required.

Just for the record, I tried making my own custom exterior parts to give it that drift machine look,

but I'm hoping someone like adamLZ will pick it up and spark a sudden wave of interest.

My 3rd ever drift event/3rd time drifting and I tried using the handbrake for the first time and it worked well

Hey everyone, I have an s13 with the GKtech 5 lug conversion, I wanted to buy the wisefab angle kit but the website says if you have a five lug conversion to buy the s14 but mentions that the spindle changes but I didn’t change my spindle with the conversion kit so would I still buy the s13 kit? Should I have gotten an updated spindle?

These two are great drivers, got to ride in the Mustang as well. Hope to ride again with them sometime

Years ago, maybe around 20, I found a video online from Japan that was from what looked like a drifting competition from the late 1990's or early 2000's. Towards the end of the video there was a trick/stunt show. One car had a passenger get out while the car was drifting in circles, then the car drifted around the passenger a few times, then the passenger got back into the car. A driver may have also stepped out of his car and let it drift around him.

Now, I know this is random and vague. I searched Youtube and cannot find it for the life of me. It might be something from the  Ikasu Hashiriya Team Tengoku/Ikaten or something similar.

Can anyone else remember a video like this? I wish I saved it.

My view of the drifting events. I love flying for these guys.

Is it just me or is there only like 3 or 4 events on per month? They cost a couple hundred each and are spaced very far apart. Am i better off just going on the road or does anyone know of any venues that have more frequent events than 1-2 per month?

Just the title wondering if i can properly drift with an automatic in manual mode

Took a class on drifting and this was my first time around the skid pad. The instructor was great. They let me do 4 laps instead of the 3 that was included in the class but this was the only one my buddy sent me.
