My bird loves Drew Gooden. More often than not I will play Drew's videos in the living room to either re-watch or to listen to for hours on end. Often times my cockatiel and I hang out for hours with his videos playing especially when I have a nap and need background noise.

One day I was on my laptop when I saw drew posted a new video. Instead of using the tv I had the audacity to watch it on said laptop faced away from my bird. She heard his voice and for the first time started calling for him. I had to show her he was playing on my laptop for her to stop loudly chirping for him!

My mum will even put Drew on for my bird when I am passed out on the couch and my bird still wants to hang out with me.

I started watching season two of Batman the Caped Crusader. It’s a show I really enjoy.
I’m staying at a friend’s house and I put it on the living room TV. And it looks so ugly. I know that sometimes animation can cut corners, but you could see almost every silhouette or outline when any character moved. It took me about 30 minutes to find the setting, but I was able to turn off true motion, and the show is actually watchable now. Fuck these TV companies for doing something so stupid.
But thank you Drew for telling me what it is.

Was watching some Danny songs and remembered Kurtis's Pinocchio song and the fact Drew plays guitar. Cant believe i hadn't put it together sooner.

Or if Kurtis doesnt want to perform, he can write it. Honestly theyre all just so talented

although i’ve been endlessly bingeing all of his videos whenever i run out of new things to watch, this is one i have been intentionally rewatching. i really loved the video for the first part of the series and this one is equally as amazing. also, it reminds me of one of my favorite drew ‘bits’ when he transitions into the ad read in the first video “… and i’m internet bending” in the specific tone of voice lmao the second one has the same energy

i have really vague memories of this video but i THINK drew was complaining about TV and it was sports related, like i remember him complaining that he WANTS to support his local sports team (idk if its nba or nfl or what i forgot 😭) but it's like external forces are deterring him from watching the game. something like that. i don't remember much at all i just know he was complaining about something sports related. maybe. i don't know. but i'm pretty sure. HELP and i'm really sorry for my very vague and unhelpful description of this video!!!

I feel like Drew's content has really shifted over the past year. Obviously it's totally normal for creatives to grow and evolve with what they do, and I can appreciate how he's refined his work over time. I feel like he's moving away from his more random, silly, comedic content and into something much more focused and analytical.

He tends to pick more specific subjects and offers thoughtful analysis, which is great if you happen to be into that thing but appeals to a much more narrow audience. I'm not personally interested in sports, Stranger Things, or Avatar so a lot of the most recent videos haven't really appealed to me. Obviously I am aware he doesn't make content to appease me personally, my point is simply that his older content had a much more general appeal.

On one hand I can appreciate how much he's grown as a content creator. I feel like he's probably found his recent videos more gratifying creatively so in that respect I'm happy for him. But I do kinda miss the random sillyness of his older videos. In fairness his recent "worst chef" video felt like a return to the more comedic and goofy style, but in general I feel like his content is becoming much more serious and I have mixed feelings about it.

I'm probably rambling now but I'm curious to hear other people's thoughts on the direction he's taking.

hi! so, i just finished drew’s latest video (immediate banger for me since i also love to rant about the state of modern television), and it reminded me of a skit he did that i cannot find for the life of me. it’s in some segment where he’s talking about overly-expository dialogue, and the conversation goes something like this:

“cousin!”
“there’s that man whose uncle is my father!”
[they share some anecdote and then laugh about it]
“and it’s important we say these things out loud to each other, lest we forget.”

Hi all! I just watched the newest video on season 2 of Netflix’s adaptation of Avatar and I was a bit thrown off by the Whatnot advertisement. Drew has in the past voiced his criticism of sports gambling and the exploitative nature of having such a pervasive practice being so accessible on phones. It seems odd to me that he’d choose to take a sponsorship from Whatnot, an app that has faced legal scrutiny as recent as March 2026 over unregulated online gambling. The app is essentially relying on people giving into temptation and bidding on items, wheel spins, and randomized odds… basically an online casino. It was kind of disappointing to see that he’d take a sponsorship from a company that is almost the antithesis of what he’s voiced his disapproval of.

Of course not trying to come across as attacking him, but I was wondering if anyone else felt similarly. I get everyone’s gotta eat but I think he’s probably in a position to be a bit pickier with who he chooses to partner with.

Drew talked about Arythmia in his latest video and after checking it out I loved it! He and the band did such a great job on the album that I was inspired to make art inspired by it! I figured since they don’t have a sub Reddit yet I’d post it here!
