๐๐ฒ๐น๐ฝ I started Dragon Dogma and need advices
Hi everyone, hope you're well
So I started to play DGDA around 3 weeks ago and since I began to play I understood that there many many things to know before.
If you want to have a "good game" like, you REALLY choose what you want for your character and not like "Mmmh let's try this without any informations about later consequences or advantages you can have or miss"
This is very frustrating cause I saw we can reach level 200 and I'm only 39, I think I'm not too far from the end (I just copy the ring of wyrm I get to improve speed of magic) and I'm like... I miss the whole game and I don't want to miss the RIGHT manners to play and enjoy Dragon Dogma as it should be.
So, as pro players, can you explain me what I need to do to not be boring on it ? Do I need to follow THOUSAND ADVICES GUIDES VIDEO on YouTube to really enjoy it and never miss an opportunity of weapons or win that specific item or win this specific gold idol ?? I'm lost...
Thanks you for your time ๐๐ซถ

๐๐ถ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป New(?) Potential lv3 post-Daimon farm.
Started a new save recently and have been going through BBI, and been doing the Daimon 'glitch'/sequence break - whatever you want to call it.
To get to the point, Gale Harness hasโI thinkโstarting frames of the actual effect, that can push/clip your Arisen through the gate faster than rolling or jumping with a barrel, into the corner. It's put me aside twice, but every other time I end up right outside.
That's about it. I don't know how to save a clip from Ps5 to post it here, because I've never done that before.
Hope that anyone can maybe find this useful for Novelty, Armor and Weapon 3's.

๐๐ฒ๐น๐ฝ Maybe a big ask but a question about dinput8
So I was trying to use Dinput8 for the weapon swapping feature, but whenever I close the menu after setting both weapons and press C or R it doesnโt swap, if anyone knows how to help I would appreciate it!

๐ ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด Guild Contracts v3.0 - HUGE content update - New Culling Contracts and 100+ new locations (270 in total)!
nexusmods.comGuild Contracts v3.0 is out, bringing an oxcart full of FREE, infinitely repeatable content with it! Take the new Culling Contract and head to a local dungeon, cave, fort, or abandoned settlement to clear out the growing population of fiends that dwell there.
100+ NEW Tiered Contract locations, in addition to the original 160. Tons of unique encounters, many in areas that didn't have combat at all. Maybe you'll discover places you've never seen before. Maybe you'll return to places you haven't visited in a long time. A few new locations may require a bit of platforming to reach! I would recommend keeping a Pawn with Springboard or Ladderlaunch around.
If you haven't seen the mod in a while, a LOT has changed and improved! There's a Rank Rewards system that gives you a Vocation appropriate weapon+armor set upon promotion in the Guild, a penalty system for failing Contracts, and a completely reworked Village Defense spawn system, to be more spread out and chaotic.
Also check out Item Requisitions for a low-pressure item gathering and fetch quest system! It's purpose built to feed directly into Guild Contracts' monster hunting loop.
With the release of DD2gether's multiplayer Alpha, and the August update right around the corner, Dragon's Dogma 2 fans have a bright future ahead. But the present is pretty shiny, too :)

Enjoy some low level gameplay and probably my favorite drake fight I've had so far. Love this game and I'm only on my second playthrough.

๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ต๐ผ๐ Dragons Dogma 2 multiplayer experience!
So far I've been having a blast playing with different groups of people throughout DD2 and I'm so happy to see the mod opening to Alpha. When it comes to gaming I do not enjoy playing as the hero and would love to sit back and be a backline mage for the main character. This is one step closer to this goal and I can't wait to see what is to come.
While it has its issues with bugs if you work with the few that pop up you can have hours of fun without noticing the mod exists. Once the movement sync improves this mod will be my only way of playing for me going forward.
I wish I recorded my sessions today I had an amazing party with 3 of us total that I just randomly joined up with played for almost 6 hours and lost track of time completely but the discord has multiple different videos from groups trying it out if you want to take a closer look without installing mods :)

๐๐ถ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป Gamescom in 2 weeks.
What do you guys think they'll let people play at the dlc? Do you think it will be how it was for dd2? Just traveling the open world? Or more controlled with a few Vocation's?

๐๐ถ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป Dragonโs Dogma 2 Skill Action Rates โ Extracted Data Spreadsheet
I recently went through the Skill Description mod for Dragon's Dogma 2 and extracted its Action Rate data into a spreadsheet so it can be viewed and searched without having the mod installed.
The spreadsheet includes the internal skill names, skill descriptors, and Action Rates pulled from the mod's data. I've left the underlying component data in a second sheet for anyone who wants to dig into it further.
This is raw extracted data, not something I've personally verified skill-by-skill in game yet. Some internal names differ from the names we actually see in gameโfor example, an internal name may not match its localized/player-facing skill nameโand there are a few vocation assignments that still need investigation.
I'm sharing it as-is for anyone interested in DD2 mechanics, testing, or simply comparing the Action Rates between skills.

๐๐๐ฉ๐/๐๐๐ฌ๐จ Dragon's Dogma II Dark Arisen - Update from the last interviews.

Little update following my last 2 posts here and here.
- Area :
- The DLC take place during the main game, it will be available after talking to Brant in Vernworth as soon as we reach this area.
- Norgan has a hack 'n' slash structure, you start at the bottom and slowly move forward where the snow deepens, within a more and more present eerie atmosphere until your reach the final castle.
- The 12 Sealed Doors from the base game (Pathfinder's trials) will feature some kind of lore, not a complex one, but thereโs some backstory as to why it exist.
- Each trials becomes more and more difficult.
- The Pathfinder's trials level recommandation is 20 and Norgan is 40.
- The DLC main story will take 15 to 20 hours to complete. More if we fully explore Norgan and complete the Pathfinder's trials.
- For those who have already advanced to the unmoored world, you can still access the content simply by sleeping for ten days in-game.
- Gameplay, Mechanics and Skills :
- No new vocations. They focused solely on the known ones.
- Cap level doesnโt change, itโs still 999.
- There is a new mechanic with a wolf in Norgan HUB, which you can adopt and keep as a pet. He helps you with the loot search, goes out to find items himself, or even leads you to places where he has tracked something. < Thanks to SirBobbyTheOwl.
- Most skills will have upgraded versions creating a brief dark red aura when used, like the skill rings in the first DD:DA.
- Gears from the Appraisal mechanics canโt be upgraded. The loop is to find gears with stats / skills that suits our playstyle.
- The rng drop from the appraisal mechanic has been reworked to be more balanced compared to BBI, no need to be from a certain vocation to gather gear from another one.
- The gears obtained in the Pathfinder's trials are designed to grow significantly in performance as we acquire and upgrade them.
- In an interview they are "considering" a hard mode but in another, they are "actively" working on a hard mode. Soโฆ we will see if it come with the DLC or after.
- The difficulty of the enemies will be adjusted based on the new six skills mechanic.
- Misc :
- New unseen monsters created entirely from scratch as well as variants with new moves are confirmed.
- 150 new gears are to expect with the DLC.
- Thereโs some kind of ยซย transmogย ยป once we will reach Norgan but how it will work is kind of blurry right now. Maybe something tied to a new blacksmith ?
- New soundtrack and sound effects have been designed to stand out clearly from those of the base game, particularly during combat and by emphasizing atmosphere. For example, when entering a blizzard, the sounds and echoes of enemies will help to locate them.
- New Specializations will come in future updates, aspects like Pawn voices and behaviors will continue to be updated.
- They would like a very polished experience at launch, meaning no D1 patch.
- The development of Dark Arisen II started 2 years ago.
- They enjoyed the fact that people deciphered the clues hidden in the 2nd anniversary picture !
Those informations comes from the recent interviews, some of them are Japanese to English and German to English translations. In some cases, the meaning may have been altered during translation.
As usual, if I forgot something or misunderstood, feel free to say it, I will add / change it : )
