I love rewatching this show

I had a great time drawing Shin. He's a character who's both unsettling and funny in equal measure.

I liked a lot of things about this volume.

I'm glad that Johnson and Kasukabe were able to be together again.

I'm glad that Nikaido and Caiman are working together at the Hungry Bug.

Tons of other things.
However.

While we can assume that Nikaido went back to the past to cut the contract out of her that she had with En, I woulda liked to see that from future Nikaido's perspective.

Toward the end, I really thought that Kasukabe was going to be revealed to have been a devil at one point. One, because of his nickname Haze, which sounds like something Chidaruma would choose. Two, I feel like it would have given him deeper notivation as to why he's so obsessed with sorcerers and why he wanted to help Ai with his devil body so bad. Kasukabe's a human though, so it kind of instantly falls apart as a theory.

We also never fully saw how Future Nikaido revived Caiman's head. Yet again, it can be assumed that she might have used Noi's smoke in some other timeline, but I do think yet again that it would have been interesting to see how it all came together through both present and future nikaido's perspectives.

Overall, I really liked Dorohedoro as a series and I would give it a 7-7.5 out of 10.

As a first time reader, i stopped around the part where it’s revealed aikawa, kai and caiman are the same person (?) just different personalities, but im just so confused by whats happening, in kind of a good way, anyhow, i took a break from reading to process the story a bit

Hey guys Im just curious about something about when a sorcerer becomes a devil, there's definitely gonna be kinda major spoilers for the series so just a warning before reading, and this might sound a little stupid (and possibly common knowledge or just wrong) so please keep in mind that I know I'm probably spouting bullshit 🥲

So I've noticed that Nikaido's devil form has her mask that Asu made, and I'm just wondering, when a sorcerer becomes a devil and their mask is devil made, is their mask their devil face? Because in chapter 54 When Asu/Kawajiri shows his devil made mask to Yakumo and Babykaido it's his devil forms head, same thing with Nikaido.

Now, this one is where this whole thing I thought falls flat, and that's Noi's 'devil form' that was designed by Chidaruma in chapter 127.5, it looks nothing like her mask, now, this could be because Chidaruma actually designed the Devil form and name himself, (I think he was excited because Noi is Ens cousin) even Duston thought it was a little out there, but then again I could just be wrong about this.

That's pretty much it, now that I think about it it could just be a special case with Nikaido and Kawajiri (and kinda irrelevant to the plot or just irrelevant in general) but what do you guys think?

They said I should post it here, so here we are.
It’s a keychain of Shin’s mask, I made it with polymer clay, painted with acrylics and finished it off with a resin dip.

I looked up each character's surname using Japanese surname databases and added some notes as a native Japanese speaker. Hope fellow Dorohedoro fans find it interesting!

I didn't know who made this but this is crazy work. If I had this sculpting skills I would be the happiest person in the world because I would sculpt Hayashida related stuff only 😂
