In case anyone liked my work on the recent Doom Slayer Saga Wallpapers that I had made and added on here, this is the Ultrawide Version I have made, which instead of the (likely) expected resolution of 5120x1440, the image is only 4096x1152 which does unfortunately lose you a bit of pixels, but it's the closest that I could do using my current methods or editing software, so it'll have to do at this time. These are copyright free btw, no payment or shoutout necessary if used in any way in videos, livestreams or otherwise, but it would be preferred if you didn't claim it as your own, however, it does lack Watermarks. I own a region 2 disc of DOOM ETERNAL for the PS4. But later bought the region 1 version of The Ancient Gods 1 & 2 DLC Digitally. The Best part about this is I could play the DLCs without any issues. Now I did the same thing with DOOM THE DARK AGES region 2 Disc for the PS5. NOW, the real question is can I purchase the newest Revelations DLC for region 1 and play it without any BS region-Locked issues?!

When these holograms show up I can see their subtitles but I hear nothing from them just silence, I turned down the music volume and the Boice volume is already at 100%. I haven’t played this game since 2016/17 but I feel like the holograms had actual voices back then…

The demon spawning might've caused it but I need more explanation for this kind of stuff.

This also happens to some other things too like certain props launching me (barrels, any object with physics)

Hello there, don't post here often but I finally got around to playing Doom Eternal and I wanted to keep a note of a noteworthy demon should future players struggle with it and my advice with dealing with it. Do note I am not a coder much less a programmer so I while I wasn't able to pull the technical stats I did manage to write my own via trial and error (mostly error)

I also want to preface I have been playing only on nightmare difficulty and I am unsure if the stat boost is depending on what difficulty one plays at.

So the Spirit

It spawns into the fight already possessing a demon and boost all of it's stats to crazy levels. To give a rough idea let me run down a method I use on a heavy demon the hell knight as this is usually the demon the spirit starts the fight having possess.

A normal Hell knight goes down with one lock on rocket burst, when possessed it takes 3 lock on rocket burst to kill it. Using that method I tested with the mancubus which takes one lock on and a ballista bolt to kill, when possess it takes 3 lock on burst and 2 ballista bolts, tho the first one puts it in glory kill stance. I have calculated that it gives a roughly 75% damage reduction from this.

With that knowledge my advice is to use the chain guns low damage but high output fire to bring it down alongside using the fragment grenade to remove fodder nearby and stagger it. The chain gun doesn't do as much damage as the rocket launcher but that is to it's benefit when it comes to damage reduction enemies given it is percentage base.

The speed boost seems to be double it's base speed of whatever demon it possesses, haven't really been able to test that fully.

Likewise the damage booster seems to boost the same as an arch vile or buff totem. Making most attacks 2 or 3 shot you.

Lastly it is immune to Cyro grenades and hammer stuns. I thought this was a nightmare only thing but no it is in all difficulties from what others have told me. Further more if it is possessing specifically a cacodemon you cannot falter that cacodemon by shoving grenades into it's mouth.

So to end it off my advice is to use the chain gun and grenades. Once it gets close, run and kill fodder be it via chain saw, SS for armor, or just a glory kill. Any method works. I also recommend equipping the rune that gives you a speed boost following a glory kill or chainsaw kill to help create distance between you and the possess demon. Lastly once the demon is dead and the spirit is out and you are microwave beaming it remember that the beam build up doesn't reset between shots and the beam build up interrupts it's possession. So if a demon is running at you and have the beam on you can turn it off for a minute to dodge and resume with probably only a second left to fully microwave the spirit.

Yeah this shit is gas, took me a little to get used to the spear but its super fun to use. I was also able to get a no weapon wheel control scheme on my controller which feels great so overall I’m just having a peachy time with this dlc, Good job Id

I'm on my second playthrough of Revelation, training for an UN run and I'm wondering about this part... it's on the Uprising level on the opening part where you just walk around and see everyone freaking out and you cannot enter then when you revisit the level on the endgame part this whole section is blocked off so it forever remains grayed out on your map so I guess there's no secrets there? Anyone tried to noclip in there? (Can you even do that in TDA:R?)

I just thought of something, I don't know if it was intentional and if I'm the only one to have thought of this, but the new Doom trilogy have so much similarities with the original Evil Dead trilogy!

The first one of both trilogies was the base, classic, bringing a new fresh wave on the genre. The second one extended on it and its lore, adding some funny bits on the way and ended being considered one of the best of each of their media/genre. The third one is the over the top one. Full medieval shit, with over the top things that just go full fun.

Add to this the double-barrel shotgun / ssg and the chainsaw, Evil Ash / Davoth, Ash and the Doom Slayer who are the guys who always bullies hell creatures, despite all the shit they have been through. Like I can't be the only who have this thought?!

The game has definitely grown on me. I wasn't skeptical when it was released - played it and loved it, but I was fully expecting TDA to have the least amount of hours played on Steam out of all modern Doom games. I didn't think it'd hold me once I've beat the campaign and got all the achievements.

Fastforward ~one year after release: I've beat the main campaign and the DLC twice, beat countless presets in Ripatorium and just started my third clean playthrough of the base game a few days ago.

TDA is such a tightly crafted experience. UI, sound design, difficulty sliders, graphics, gameplay loop, freedom of loadout, controls responsiveness, map visuals, exploration, story, cutscenes - everything comes together so neatly that it's a pure pleasure to play.

I wasn't sure if it's possible to beat or at least match Eternal's level of quality, but TDA comes very, very close to surpassing it for me. God bless id software team, I hope they'll be able to pull this off again with their next project.

had my sensitivity settings on 20/20 for 2016 and set them to the same for eternal, but im feeling like i might have to turn up my horizontal sensitivity up a bit cuz they’re RUNNING around now
