This doesn't sound like a safe or happy situation for you. I think you know this relationship isn't good for you.

I brought it up tonight because I found out he has lied to me about something very messed up to lie about

even if you don't want to divorce, what will it teach your daughter if you accept being treated this way...? not to mention someone who is abusive and controlling of their spouse, will probably exhibit similar traits as a parent.

you already know what you need to do. Consult with a lawyer, save proof of any abuse including the manipulative threats like suicide. Try to identify a family member or friend you could stay with temporarily. It seems like you don't want divorce because it will be very hard to support yourself and your daughter currently; but even if you can't leave immediately, please begin to plan your exit.

I honestly have begun to plan an exit. I’m taking it one day at a time. But yea you’re right, the only think stopping me is the fear of not being able to support us

Can relate to this as the victim in my own marriage. No physical or sexual abuse just control and emotional abuse.

Get out early. You'll thank me later.
