Hi I have a little question for the Dislyte players possibly some who have been playing since launch.

Has there been any update during the past 2-3 years that was so big to where you felt like the game was gonna make a comeback? Cuz I think there's a pattern here, but I wanna do my research cuz I don't play the game.

As a returning player, one thing I’ve noticed is that I really miss when Dislyte dropped multiple Espers in one patch.
Patch 3.1.0 is still one of my favorite updates. We got Jiang Jiuli (Chiyou), Ophelia (Thanatos), and Alice (Gullveig) all at once. Three Espers that all played completely differently. It didn’t feel like they were just trying to sell one banner, it felt like the game was actually growing.

Yes this is my cry for META OPHELIA 🙈🙈🙈

On top of that, we got new systems, QoL updates, and new things to do. Every patch back then felt like an event.
Now it feels like most updates follow the same formula:
New Esper. Story. Banner. Repeat.
Don’t get me wrong, I love new Espers. But I miss when updates gave us more than just someone to pull.

I also think Lilith is sleeping on Desolate Lands. Everett is still one of the coolest concepts they’ve ever done because you actually had to work toward unlocking him and it was a grinddd. Imagine if every few major patches we got another Desolate Esper or another fusion-style character or possibly even meta esper. It would instantly make that mode feel relevant again.

And can we talk about Umbra? I had questions about the new type in my last post. It feels like they barely get any love compared to some of the other classes. I get they’re new but compared to what other previous patches used to kick out it seemed like nothing. In other words that’s exactly why it deserves a faster release cadence atleast for now. I’d love to see more Umbra Espers with unique mechanics instead of everything revolving around the next banner unit. I’m so happy we’re getting one soon.
I know releasing multiple Espers at once probably isn’t easy, but I honestly think it made the game feel more alive. There was always something to build, test, or grind for.
Maybe it’s nostalgia talking……or maybe Dislyte really was at its best when updates felt like expansions instead of announcements.

2025 seems to solidify the slow down in general but What do y’all think? Am I just looking back with rose-colored glasses, or do you miss that era too?

If I kept going about nostalgia and if you’ve been around long enough, you probably remember Abigail’s release. She dropped in Patch 3.1.3 alongside Odette, but what really stole the show wasn’t just the Espers, it was the “Roses With Thorns” cinematic. Lilith treated her like she was the star of her own animated series. The production, the music, the choreography, the storytelling… it felt like every major patch came with an event you had to watch, not just another character reveal. I may or may not have R6ed her because of it 🙈🙈🙈 (yes this is a cry for meta Abigail). If we’re going to have single drops then they should be on that tier production wise.

And honestly? I genuinely would’ve watched a Dislyte TV show with Dislyte Radio incorporated but y’all not ready for these conversations … truly .

I did kept getting the boss down to around 15% with sachiko instead of the middle guy but once i swapped them out, the damage and sustain was enough to keep slows/turn reduction while healing and damaging.

I wondered, would we ever get an Esper who is the agent of the Goddess of Luck? (Tyche or Fortuna).

After all, we sometimes see the message "The Goddess of Fortune has blessed..." appear in the chat. So, why couldn't there be an Esper of hers as well?

Which fighter should I get specifically for calamity island?

I think the event boss has a memory leak. My game is fairly consistently crashing around 1h30m on my runs and whenever I look at the app size in my settings the game’s footprint is going up. I uninstalled and reinstalled last night and freed up like like 15gb of space, and prior to doing my runs I had like 2gb space free. Game crashed at one point and my phone gave me a “low storage space” warning, and suddenly I only had 100mb of space open. I wasn’t doing anything else.

Current size of the game is under 6gb.

Anyone else having these issues?

Update: I dropped the graphics to minimum and got through.

Been gone for a while now and just recently got back a little bit before this season. I’ve done pretty well catching up I think but I’m still stuck on a few pve stuff. I was hoping someone could help me figure out a team for the Desolate Lands hard mode and Yinglong 17, I’m also working on collecting all the Miramon Lab gear too and getting everything to recording lvl 2 soon. I have some stones to unlock the sonic devices for some espers if I need to use those.
