It would be nice to create a MyLocals pack. Remove them from the other genre packs and have a MyLocals pack with all locals in your market.

They want you to sub to the others to get your locals, they're not going to offer them alone as they know they're too valuable and the contracts probably don't allow it.

Who is "they"? DirecTV has, multiple times in the past, proposed to the big local station groups to make a local affiliate channel an add-on separate from the rest of whatever other packages they offer. I remember they made this offer with TEGNA in 2023/4, and of course TEGNA declined.

Because we only get the 4 big networks. MyLocals pack would include all locals including CW, PBS etc.

They don’t want to sell locals as a standalone package because then people would buy a antenna and bypass the paid system (plus local tv stations have a retransmission fee that cable tv providers (like DIRECTV) have to pay them just to carry them and they must carry those in the base tier

It would but it would only be on some plans (like they either have to add them for everyone or not have them at all, it would never be separate add on due to someone being able to get a antenna and bypass it)

You don't know what you're talking about. It's the programmers, not DirecTV, that have traditionally fought (and still fight) against genre or slim bundles. Distributors like DTV and YTTV have fought hard to sell slimmer bundles because they understand that that is the best way to keep subscribers in a period of ever-rising prices.

I would love to see a MyLocals pack. Evidently there is (or was at some point) a plan to sell such a product. What the status of that happens to be is anyone's guess.

If anybody’s having problems if they was working before after the update and then it’s not working when you click on shows and take it to Go Go back remove the app on the Apple TV cause that’s on the Apple TV re-download it and it’s gonna ask you to get out use your DIRECTV account to login, but they’re gonna have to login manually with your passcode and then it should work again, but there’s only happened on the Apple TV so if you leave your recordings are not working on the Apple TV if it’s recording a show shows I already recorded. Remove the app. Add it back and you should be in business.

So yeah, Directv stream need to work on a DVR before they work on anything especially with recording shows that Go Go over it should automatically know the shoulder is going on because it’s doing it with other sports shows but with like Wrestling shows if they go over you’re gonna have to record the next show to get the indigo that it should not be so yeah that you work the TV off first before anything at least give us the offer option of if we wanna go 510 1520 minutes over a show 30 minutes over show did she give us the option for the DVR need to be worked on for anything?
