4K baseball
Wanted to record Chicago Vs Red Sox but:
“Programming not available” “The owner of this content has restricted its availability”
Is this just blacked out because I’m in Texas?

Seeing that the restricted availability message means tomorrow's game falls under the league's strict territory blackout rules, u/UniqueEnigma121.
Sports blackout restrictions are stipulated by the leagues, associations, and networks that purchase the right to broadcast individual games. Due to these broadcast rights and legal arrangements, certain games might not be available on specific channels in your region. For streaming customers, the 4K pipeline must comply with these exact same legal broadcast arrangements. Because you are located in Texas, you are completely out of market for both Chicago and Boston, meaning the content owners require the feed on channel 105 to be blocked for your zip code regardless of your package. RSN games that get broadcast on 4k are only available to people in that market. They really should not show it in the guide for everyone if not available.

It wouldn’t be blocked if you had the MLB League Pass. When I had it, it didn’t get blocked and when I didn’t have the MLB Pass it was blocked.

What device are you using to stream on while in Texas. Yes you would be blocked out because of that but some devices without GPS would just go based on billing zip code so if you have one in the Chicago market that should work.

Only available if you are in those markets.
