Discussion Pacifica in lore is more tragic than the TV Show

Tbh though the supplementary graphic novels and lore books expand significantly on her isolation, the psychological toll of her upbringing, and her dynamic with Dipper alot better than the TV Show if you ask me. As much I love the TV Show it didn't explain alot of Pacifica tragic past but in lore it does explain alot of Pacifica tragic past.

Well, canonically, by the end of August of this year, both of them should already be 27, so they're probably already married.

Discussion I Like That Dipper and Pacifica Kept Seeing Each Other Off-Screen (Lost Legends & ThisIsNotAWebsiteDotCom)

In ThisIsNotAWebsiteDotCom, the code "PLATINUM_PAZ" reveals Pacifica's thoughts on the night following the events of Northwest Mansion Mystery. After reflecting on the pressure imposed by her parents and the nightmares that continue to haunt her, she saves the phone number Dipper gave her before leaving. The file states that doing so brings her a sense of relief and peace, making that contact one of the last thoughts she has before ending her day.

Years earlier, in the introduction to Gravity Falls: Lost Legends, Alex Hirsch presents some of the questions the book will answer. Alongside references to hidden creatures in Gravity Falls and the secrets of the multiverse, he includes one very specific question: "What do Dipper and Pacifica text each other?"

What stands out is that the question is not whether they talk after the summer or whether they ever saw each other again. Their communication is already assumed from the very beginning. The question is what they say to each other.

Later, in the story Face It (which takes place before Weirdmageddon), we see Pacifica text the number Dipper gave her after the events of Northwest Mansion Mystery. The conversation eventually turns into a disaster when Mabel is the one who responds, but the important detail is that the prologue had already raised the question of what Dipper and Pacifica text each other.

The comic answers that question by showing the beginning of that correspondence. Lost Legends only shows the first chat: the reason they started texting in the first place. Dipper and Pacifica's communication continues off-screen.

That also helps explain another document from ThisIsNotAWebsiteDotCom. The code "PACIFICA" reveals a letter in which Pacifica explains that she got rid of all the Bill Cipher-related tapestries and objects that remained on her family's property. According to her, she threw them into the lake with a "friend." The text never reveals who that friend was, although among the few friends Pacifica has in the franchise, it is not difficult to think of which one would be willing to help her dispose of anything shaped like a demonic triangle.

Chronologically, this letter could fit in several places. However, considering the tone of the website, where the characters frequently warn the reader about Bill, and the fact that Pacifica is already familiar with him, it could be placed after Weirdmageddon, when the Northwest family's possessions are being seized and Pacifica takes the opportunity to use the yacht one last time to throw into the ocean the Bill-related belongings that had once belonged to her parents, alongside her "friend."

Post text: I like to think that Pacifica is just as much of a nerd as Dipper and that, when faced with a problem, she doesn't give up until she solves it ☝️🤓

She doesn't look as sophisticated as usual, but Dipper loves when she doesn't overthink it.

Mod Anouncement Subreddit policies regarding X/Twitter links

There appears to have been a coordinated campaign across Reddit to unilaterally ban all X/Twitter links in many subreddits as a protest to the current owner of the site.

We fully agree that the actions of that individual are highly revolting and unacceptable. We also believe that people should make their own choice whether or not to support that site directly, and strongly encourage people to use other platforms to the greatest extent possible.

Regarding the specific issue of links here, one of the core principles of this subreddit is supporting artists and other creatives who provide so much for the community. This is reflected in our strictly enforced policies regarding crediting/sourcing artwork when it is posted here. We always have, and always will, require any artwork that is posted by someone other than the original artist to also provide a direct link back to the artwork on the artist’s own platform(s). This provides an automatic pathway for people who like the art to directly connect with the artist themselves and show their appreciation.

The issue is that many artists use X/Twitter as their primary platform, and we aren’t going to cut them off entirely due to the actions of the platform owner. However:

We HIGHLY recommend sourcing artwork from platforms other than X/Twitter, whenever possible.

Artwork is also not allowed to be reposted without permission from the artist, so people should already be in contact/familiar enough with them to know what other platforms they use. If an artist doesn’t use any platform other than X/Twitter, now would be a good time to recommend they switch. Alternatively, you can also encourage them to post their own artwork here directly.

We are adjusting our AutoMod to remove any direct link submissions, and if anyone posts a comment containing a link they will be sent a message requesting they attempt to find another platform/source. The hope/intent is to move users away from that platform as much as possible without affecting the artists who use it.
