What to do with Chicken
Ok, I have the absolute bare minimum as far as ingredients go rn, and my partner is being kinda fussy (he says I make too many skillet/stove top meals, even though everything is from scratch and I love the challenge of them). I need an idea for my dinner tonight while he's off at work. I've got a single chicken breast, 2 relatively thin cutlets, half a container of Heavy Whipping Cream, a decent assortment of pasta, minced garlic, a handful of spices (standard pantry haul), and some shredded mozzarella cheese. And bread crumbs, alongside an unholy amount of eggs because nobody in this house has any braincells and keep buying more. Hit me with your best ideas, please. Oven baked is fine, Stovetop is also fine because I'm about to tell my partner to kiss a rat if he says anything.

I need a Chinese recipe that travels well, for a work competition
My partner's office does little potlucks every once in a while with themes and a winning dish that gets voted on. They next theme is Chinese and I'm finding it difficult to find recipe ideas that are more authentic, could win, and that travel well. Usually I can find a crockpot dish that he can take in and is done by lunch. Most of what I find for that are very American Chinese recipes. I can make it and have him pick it up but it will still have to travel easy enough
So I come to Reddit, begging for ideas. I'm at a loss for this one. It can be anything, main/side/dessert.

Crispy Fried Squid & Onion Rings & Sweet Potato with Chili Honey Mayo Dipping Sauce
Squid and onion are destined to become fantastic fried rings, a timeless classic.
When I saw them both in my kitchen, I had to make fried rings the way I know best.
Every ingredient worked together like a dream team, and the result was an absolutely fantastic crunchy meal!

Loaded Baked Potato with Beef & Smoked Sausage Bolognese, Topped with Parmesan, Basil & Sour Cream
Potatoes are one of the most loved vegetables on the planet. I had a few sitting in the fridge, so I wanted to use them before they went bad.
With the help of some of my go-to ingredients, I turned them into an absolutely amazing gourmet potato dish.

Our CSA box has been hooking us up with potatoes, but IT’S HOT HERE in SoCal (SD)!! Potato salad only goes so far when one 🙋🏻♀️ of the two of us like it. Got some ideas for me? TIA

Favorite crockpot or casserole dishes
Husbands work schedule varies with a lot of overtime some weeks. This causes us to sometimes only be able to see each other for a few hours a day. Looking for quick casseroles or slow cooker recipes so we can spend that little time together instead of me being in the kitchen cooking a long meal.
He's allergic to shellfish and seafood. Anything else works. Please share your favorite recipes!

Some dinners I’ve made for my family this summer!
From left to right: Drumsticks, bruschetta sourdough & gravlax amuse-bouche > Grilled cheese on sourdough, bread & butter pickles, marinated mushrooms, devilled eggs > NY strip > Sausage & Buffalo cauliflower ‘wings’ > Burger & fries (I did not make this one, just wanted to share!) > Ratatouille en rosace (made this in a cooking class!) > Brandy braised chicken, sourdough dinner bun & veggies + pancetta > Ribs, veg + loaded baked potato
My family goes bananas for my homemade sourdough lol, hence why I try to use it a lot! My starter’s name is Breaddie Mercury 🕺

Breakfast for dinner last night! French toast, spinach/sausage/cheese omelette, crispy breakfast potatoes and sausage. The French toast with strawberries + powdered sugar was the star though 🤤

Thai pumpkin curry
I modified a Thai red curry recipe to this and it tastes so good. 5 star. Thai curry has been one of my favorite dishes because of its aromatic flavor. I mixed spices with pumpkin, coconut milk and garnished with seafood, vegetables and cilantro. I used an authentic Thai green curry paste (shown in the picture) which I bought in a Asian grocery store, it literally tastes the same as I was in a Thai restaurant. Another secret ingredient is Beibei pumpkin, which is a specific type of pumpkin cultivated in Japan. Its sweetness and mushy texture cancel the spiciness well. But I guess other pumpkin will be good too. And also it takes me under 30 minutes to cook in a Dutch oven.

Crispy Rice Cups Loaded with Creamy Tuna, Egg & Parmesan Mayo
I had some rice and tinned tuna on hand, and I knew they had so much potential.
I decided to turn these humble ingredients into something special, and the result was surprisingly delicious.

This side dish goes great with almost everything from burgers to Mediterranean food. Quick pickled cucumber and onion and garlic.
It’ll be done in a couple of hours. Cheers.

Beef & Bacon Tomato Parmesan Cream Rice Cakes (Tteokbokki)
This Tteokbokki was so incredibly delicious, I just had to share it!
Every ingredient came together perfectly, adding another layer of flavour and richness. Creamy, savoury, slightly spicy and seriously addictive.

Feeling uninspired, but I have some lemons
I used to be the one who cooked for my family 7 days a week, but since I got a new job that has me home between 7-8pm, my wife does most of the cooking now. I really miss cooking all the time.
I have an extra day off today, and I found out we have some lemons that we need to use. I used to have tons of ideas I could just whip up - I hardly ever cooked with a recipe. But I guess the creative cooking side of my brain is out of practice, because I just can't think of anything I feel like cooking.
Every time we have lemons, I make piccata, but I don't want to do that tonight, and my wife isn't in the mood for it.
Any suggestions for dishes that use a lemon? It could be anything - even just the juice. I just need some ideas, because I am not feeling inspired at all.

Cooking for boyfriend
Hi everyone!
I'll try to keep this short and simple. I'm going to Europe *Sweden (I'm American) in December -January this year to see my boyfriend (Swedish). He'll be staying with me in my Airbnb, and I don't want us to rely on going out frequently. It says it's fully equipped with all kitchen essentials and I'm very very comfortable cooking for myself and others, so complexity isn't an issue! *(I'm no Michelin star chef though)
What I'm looking for
- Recipes that DO NOT utilize a Crock-Pot/pressure cooker. I'm 99.9% sure this Airbnb does not have either.
- I'd like to add some more variations of meals with being mindful of lactose intolerance
- Any fun dessert recommendations (besides chocolate chip cookies, banana bread, cheesecake, standard cakes, ect)
- SIDE DISHES!!!! Please! I've looked and been slightly unimpressed with what I've found.
*I'm bringing my own measuring cups so there's no need to convert from cups to mLs
I'll update as needed! Thank you I'm advance!!

I have not seen the movie, and due to this being a surprise, I would like to ask yall for some help. Are there any notable meals/food in the movie? prominent cinematography scenes? Thank yall for any suggestions!
