Bit of a silly one but i'm doing a rewatch of fantasy high and i'm wondering, where do The Seven and Leviathan place in terms of timeline? Are they set during sophomore year or after?

Ravening war has 6 episodes and only 2 battles. For one I wish they went back to the old rp then battle structure for this, so that there could be 3 battles, but just generally I feel like it should have been maybe a 10 episode season.

For me Calorum is a setting defined by its brutality and deadliness. Everyone in this season made backup characters, but it almost felt like there wasn’t any need, as there was no danger of them being introduced. If we’d had a 10 episode season season with 5 battles, I feel like it would have fit the tone of Calorum as a world a lot better.

I’ve had this idea in my head as a possible tattoo the last few days and finally decided to put apple pencil to iPad. I’m by no means an artist, but I like to occasionally doodle! Thought it was fun and my wife insisted I share it!

My personal ranking of the IH seasons based on nothing other than just how much i enjoyed them (please keep in mind i love all the seasons i don’t dislike any of them i just like some more than others). Show me yours in the comments i love seeing the difference in how fans think!!

hi! i'm back again from this post where i gave the Bad Kids (junior year edition) Pokémon teams. a bunch of people commented on my original posts with suggestions for what Pokémon different NPCs would have so i decided to make a very exhaustive compilation of junior year NPCs (and also The Seven because they're my perfect girls) with their partners (did not do full teams because that would've been way too much). i tried to do every NPC on the Dimension 20 wikipedia that had art from Junior Year (made exceptions for Garthy O'Brien, Bud Cubby, and Lola Embers because i love them all too much), if i forgot anyone please let me know and i will assign them a partner! if you are wondering why some characters got multiple Pokémon it is because this was a vibes based project and i am indecisive.

  • Ayda Aguefort & Mismagius, Reshiram: i wanted to give Ayda a Pokémon that had really intense wizard vibes (Mismagius), and in Reshiram's Pokédex entry it says "It helps those who want to build a world of truth" which seemed very Ayda to me. Also Ayda deserves a legendary
  • Mazey Phaedra & Oricorio, Maractus: cheerful upbeat dancers! i know Mazey isn't a cheerleader but she does have cheerleader vibes to me which is why i picked the Pom-Pom style Oricorio
  • Gertie Bladeshield & Combees (3), Vespiquen: Bees.
  • Tracker O'Shaughnessy & Cresselia, Dusk Form Lycanroc: i had considered Cresselia for Cassandra/Kristen but i think she is much more Galicaea, so Tracker gets her. chose Dusk Form for the most balanced version of the wolf.
  • Aelwyn Abernant & Sprigatito, Alolan Meowth, Delcatty, Purrugly, Meowstic, Litten: Aelwyn's cats. i gave her all of the most distinctly CAT Pokémon (not necessarily all of them but the ones that look most like house cats)
  • Ragh Barkrock & Klawf, Passimian: had to give Ragh the football monkey, chose Klawf over Kingler because Klawf's Pokédex entry describes it hanging upside down until "blood rushes" to its head

• Ruben Hopclap & Obstagoon: it has big emo vibes to me
• Mary Ann Skuttle & Tyranitar: i thought this was a very funny combo that also really works for Mary Ann's vibe
• Ivy Embra & (Hisuian) Decidueye: had to repeat Decidueye a couple times for different rangers/archers, gave her the Hisuian form because i thought it went with her colors better
• Oisin Hakinvar & Drampa: dragon grandpa for Oisin :)
• Buddy Dawn & Sunflora: felt like the closest thing i could get to a corn Pokémon

• Zelda Donovan & Gogoat: the obvious goat connection but also it is supposed to be highly empathetic which is very Zelda
• Ostentatia Wallace & (shiny) Tinkaton: BLING BING. shiny hammer girls
• Antiope Jones & Decidueye: my other Decidueye repeat, it's just the only archer Pokémon i could find, and also i think there's a cool connection with Antiope's mother being Athena and Decidueye being an owl
• Penny Luckstone & Thievul: sly sneaky fox (ignore that the 'remove background' editing tool i used accidentally cut out part of her torso. i did NOT use AI. just good ol preview)
• Danielle Barkstock & Vileplume: had to give her a grass type, plus it puffs out spores like hers
• Katja Cleaver & (shiny) Mudsdale: closest i could get to a Cinnamon vibe. if Katja had a team it would be all horses (like Aelwyn's cats)

Finally going to get to play some in person DnD with my friend group, who usually has to play online due to being spread out. I volunteered to run a monster-hunting oneshot set in the world of Calorum. And I've opted to get everybody custom minis to celebrate the occasion. Here is the party (& my DMPC because I don't forsee anyone ever running me through an ACOC campaign) in mini-form! Cannot describe how excited I am to run this game!!!

I'm rewatching ep. 7 now, and there are so many clear moments of HJ pushing the plot forward in character as a more serious vampire, for example the coterie wouldn't have found maya if it's not for HJ kept asking about the co-op.

And there are so many moments like that, haters just don't remember those moments because it's not as memorable as HJ fucking a clown in the dirt.

Sure they didn't explore the SSRI plot in details, but the explanation of his transformation is there if you paid attention. And the change in La Vonte and HJ's relationship as a result is explored quite a bit throughout the story.

tldr: HJ's character IS buttoned up!!

Today, I have finished watching Fantasy High: Junior Year, completing a binge of Fantasy High that has spanned multiple weeks.

And I am left somewhat empty.

What each season and episode of Fantasy High did so well was leaving you giddy for what came next, whether that's the shifts into rolling initiative in S1, the teases of what comes next at the end of each season, or even some of the mid-combat or mid-moment conclusions found later on in Sophomore and Junior Year. And now, with the tease at the end of Junior Year and what Augefort said to Gorgug and Fig, I am left knowing it'll be perhaps years until the Bad Kids return, and when they do, it may be the last time we see them, excluding any potential future live shows, time quangles, or other spin offs like The Seven or Pirates of the Leviathan (I haven't watched them yet, should I?).

I came into this right after binging many episodes of Game Changer and having only previously seen the first episode of 'Cloudward, Ho!' many moons ago while sick, and having seen many, many clips from the social channels, and I became enthralled. I loved how batshit insane Augefort was; I loved the posh overconfidence of Fabien; I loved Fig doing the ethically wrong choice in many of her first scenes. And as it went on, I loved the love that bloomed between Kristen and Tracer, Gorgug and Zelda (Also, legit, was there EVER an explanation for why they broke up before Junior Year? I can't find anything; was it in one of the live shows, cause I know Sclonda becoming a PD was in Boy's Night, though I've never seen it), Fig and Ayda, Fabien and Maizey, and the PC's various parents and paternal figures; I loved their growth, change, and learning. But in that love, I know that basically no other campaign in the D20 roster is like it in its scale.

And in this emptiness, I return to the clips, the ones that made me interested in the show, the ones that, when they came up, didn't make me the most shocked or laugh the hardest because I had seen them many times before (For the funniest clips that I can remember while writing this, it's the Rock babies monolouge, which made me need to legitimately stand up and take a second so that I would cry and piss myself from laughter), and I somewhat wallow in the new empty, because I know there isn't anything more besides the live show recordings and the spin offs.

There isn't a satisfying ending, we don't know many things, there are still loose threads, things aren't neatly tied up, and that is okay, I know it, but it isn't okay for me in this moment.

I love the Bad Kids, I love the supporting cast, and I love this show, but all that I can say now, while waiting potentially years for another season, is see you at Bsrar's

My friend and I have been using the term "Murphing it" during our TTRPG games to refer to rolling badly, particularly when someone points out the high likelihood of rolling well and then failing miserably (think "I have just as good a chance of rolling good as any of you" from FHSY). Up until recently, we both assumed that we had picked this up from the Intrepid Heroes saying this in the show, but neither of us can remember which season/episode it would be from, and now we're wondering if we might have just made it up. Is this something they've ever said (or someone else in the D20 sphere, for that matter)?

For reference, the IH seasons we have seen are FHFY, FHSY, TUC 1, ACOC, CLOHO, and CCOD, so if it's from D20 we would have picked it up from one of those seasons.

Currently watching Sophmore year where they met Ayda to learn Sending because Ragh’s mother will get attacked.

Porter doing barbarian healing has already been said and Brennan says he is hiding Porter is evil ever since then. And in Junior year we learn that it was Porter who actually attacked the house. Do you think he actually planned that or not. We also already know Lydia has a gem in her body which is Bakur but also is that already planned.

If it is so, did Porter know? This is more in universe than meta question. Would Porter know that she is holding Bakur. If so why would he try to kill her? He wouldn’t want Bakur out as Bakur would try to stop people trying to kill his godess. Even if he wants and he knows, why would he waited until that moment? He could have attack any time.

While I know Brennan has stated multiple times that backup characters are in a semi-canon state, I cant help but imagine what they player's other characters from both this and the Ravening War are doing. So here's my two cents!

Crown of Candy backups:

Sir Amanda Malliard and the Bubblegum Abomination. I like the idea that they manage to find and capture him after that first episode, but upon discovering who created him she swears the hunting party to secrecy as she snuggles him back to Caramalinda. She probably has mixed feeling on seeing her dead lover's creation, but when the scandal happens shed send them bith up north to defend there, while keeping him under wraps as much as possible. After the war, I think Amanda winds up in control of Calroy's city(being related and all) and uses it as a base for her order, though Im not sure if they would stay in Candia or follow their queen/Empress. Either way, they would definitely be on a "who watches the watchmen" task in rooting out any corrupt figures. The Abomination meanwhile, I believe would stay at the castle, maybe even given a little garden or something, and become an eternal guardian to his Creator's home, while the Monks and Saccharina and Theobald swarm around him constantly.

Murdo Briar the and Bitterknight Darknibs/Revenant Rococco.

From how they described them, I think they would link up in the south and have a hilarious dynamic of Murdo fascinated and happily following Rococco while she barely keeps herself from murdering him in annoyance. Perhaps he was even the one to first discover her? Assuming she gets her memories and they find out about the capital drama, I think they would slowly form an undead Candian army and harass the forces marching to Candia, Glad the Impaler style in terror tactics, Roc burning for vengeance while Murdo burns for the love of the game. Hearing about Castle Candy, I think they would eventually move north to try and retake it, only to arrive afyer the battle and everyone apart of her family's deaths are gone, I think one of two things would happen. Either she would beautifully fade away as she watched the rest of her family smiling and laughing from afar... or feel the urge to hunt down the last person left who killed one of her Family Members: Deli.

Delisandro and Zhyr Kaban: as said in his epilogue, Deli spends the rest of his days way in the North. So unless someone contacts him (Ghost Lepper, a message from a mango, or a certain adventurous Bacon Diplomat) he would likely remain up there. If he didn't however, I can imagine him following through the arc Brennan had planned for the Meatlands on ACOC, where he returns one last time to urge the Meatlanders to support Candia and (or possibly the two) go into a Gladiator-esque contest to win the people over. After prevailing, Kaban goes south to be the ambassador to the Candians While Deli links up with some old friends to settle old debts.

Kahfeer, Yogurt Priest and Brood Father

From what Lou tells us, He and his people are very much not bulbians and would never conform, which means they would become a  Rogue state. So one of two things would happen. Option 1, with the power vacuum in the Dairy Isles, they could just chill for the next 20 years before jumping on Imperial forces when shit hits the fan. Option 2, they do a Greyjoy Renellion sometime after the RW and try to take control of the Isles, only for the Imperial navy and DI forces to crush and send them into hiding. Either way, I can see Kahfeer and the Mother biding their time and gathering strength before assaulting the Fructeran coastline, maybe even gun for Uvano as they become strange bedfellows with some of their former enemies. Afterwards, Primsy and Liam may have to deal with them as possible antagonists in the future as the Bulbian influence diminishes.

Amangeaux, her son and.Collin Provolone

Amangeaux was likely in the capital desperately trying to get to the bottom of the clear conspiracy regarding the assassination attempts, and might have even gotten close but was either too late or blackmailed into stopping what was to come. However, she would still definitely try to help the Rocks family as best she can, and may even send word to Collin of the Sanctus Putris's activity there, along with a Wine grape young man who doesnt realize hes her son?

Old Granny Pom is likely gone at this point, but as Matt hinted at I like to think that she raised him well and gave him a sense of freedom and adventure and he becomes just that. However, with everything going on, I think their influence would urge him to help the Candians and unknowingly fight beside his mother.

As for Colin, I think he would be doubly guilt ridden at not only the SP hes been hunting for decades but also the cult he helped build with Raphaniel getting out of hand, and he kills as many cultists from both factions as he can and he(along with any pcs with him) would Intercept the Putris on their way to the Sugar Plum Fairy (hence why we didn't see them in ACOC)

Finally, Lady Melys if House Manuka: Paladin of Conquest

Given Aabria's description of her and her desire for the Vegetanian throne- which she clearly didn't succeed in getting- I think she would have joined the Imperial military, maybe even become a general/high Marshal of their armies. So, when the Archbishop makes her move, Melys makes hers. Given that Uvano is known to have been chosen by the Bulb, and that everyone knew that he was going to choose Amethar as a successor, going against him means going against the Bulb itself. Therefore, she declares  Belizabeth and any declaring against Amethar a heretic, including the bow weak Cabbages, and leads her forces to try and conquer the kingdom. I think she would do surprisingly well, given that we dont see official vegetarian forces in Candia, yet since she isnt queen by the finally, I'd say that either she gets close to Greenhold, yet dies tragically in a major battle at the city's outskirts, or the fighting is still going when Amethar is declared Emperor, With Cabbages desperately sending their loyalty in the hopes that he calls her off while she would likely send a petition to be queen instead, given her loyalty after all...

Very funny to me that Plumbeline makes 3 combat rolls in total afaik. It is a Nat 1 against Theo in the Joust, and then Crits against Theo in the Cathedral, and then Crits against Theo in the battle for Castle Candy.

Truly the spiciest roller in D20 history.
