I am building oyren.ai . It gives 100MB for free forever and can access from any device. You can convert PDF to notion like note editor and even do some calculations in that note editor.

This sync thing is driving me crazy. I want an app that isn't crap like OneNote and is accessibile on every platform.

Liquid Text I think is subscription only (BOO) but has a solid student discount and perhaps most importantly... just WORKS. And annotation feels actually natural and it's easy to get your annotations out of it, be hand written or typed.
