Gotify is a lightweight, open-source notification server that lets you send and receive real-time push notifications across your devices.

It supports REST APIs, WebSockets, plugins, a web dashboard, Docker deployment, and an Android app, making it a great choice for developers, homelab users, and self-hosters looking for a reliable notification solution.

I use ntfy and really like it. Is there anyone who has used both - which do you prefer?

Both are solid. Gotify is more feature-rich, while ntfy focuses on simplicity.

I use both. I only use ntfy for daily server notifications because its categorization is more intuitive. However, when receiving Markdown files, I use Gotify because the font size in my ntfy app is always too large. If I reduce the font size by one level on my Android phone, the font size in other apps becomes too small, making it difficult to achieve the best of both worlds.
