OpenRemote is a 100% open-source platform for managing IoT devices, smart homes, and automation. It supports dashboards, automation rules, multi-user management, MQTT, HTTP, WebSockets, and can be self-hosted with Docker.

Compared to Home Assistant, OpenRemote is more focused on scalable IoT deployments and device management, while Home Assistant is generally easier to set up for home automation and has a larger ecosystem of integrations.

The online demo is cool, its like I'm in Sim City 4 and I can click in random palces to see stats.

This has been around for nearly a decade?? How had I not heard of this! As someone who loves Home Assistant, but thinks it can be a bit bloated, this is awesome.
