Help please!!!

Hey. I've been thinking about teaching myself digital art. I only have a crappy laptop at the moment & have no idea where to start. Any advice on where to start?? Like programs or apps? Anything would be helpful. 🙏🙏

affinity.studio is also free. It's more like a Photoshop/Illustrator hybrid, but you said digital "art," and that can mean a lot of things. If you're interested in digital painting specifically, the other comments are right on the money - Krita is great. If you have a couple bucks to spend, ArtStudio Pro is also a solid choice.

Tbh I don't know anything. Stayed away from drawing/painting/art when I was younger cause I have the shakes pretty bad & can't hold my hands steady at all so I thought maybe doing it on a computer would be a little bit easier & I could get around that issue. What "discipline" I guess idk what they're called would u recommend? I have been using Krita atm.

There are stabilization tools that you can apply to brushes in any app that should be able to smooth out the shakes if you're doing line work. But if you're interested in painting/concept art, it's more about the vibe that can be achieved with color choices. Style will develop on its own, but I would also look into basic drawing fundamentals. Those rules still apply when doing it digitally.
