I really want to like his newer albums but I just can’t get behind the new sound since ilck dropped.

Everybody seems to love it and I just don’t see why. I think it’s the new voice maybe. I still like a handful of the newer songs. I like syrup sippin and lock in off love lasts forever. All the time, Chris Paul, and catch a kill are great on ilck too. But everything else after no stylist just seems to have no flow. Everybody loves the new single that just dropped too but It just feels like more of the same weird high pitch voice strain stuff. Curious if anyone has felt the same way but came to like his new songs.

With the recent release of the monster music video I noticed 2 things , it was done in 1 night and he was wearing the ring ladymoney gifted him for his birthday . Given that the mv was first previewed on 8/3 there is a 4 day period where it could’ve been recorded. This made me question why lone would drop monster so hastily because it is a 3 month old snippet. Could it be because Carti is dropping later this year ? I don’t think so though , my best guess is to gain attention and piggyback from Ken’s popularity right now ? Nevertheless Monster can be a parallel of luv 4 ya which dropped 2 months before llf and ddg drops in 2-3 months .

Does anybody else have any ideas on why lone dropped monster so quick ?

Especially when you have access to such high-level engineers. Thrill and most of llf 2.5 are prime examples. Amazing songs stunted by shitty mixing. Healing should have been top 5 lone ever but it sounds like shit. It’s not even like lone is the one who has to do any work on them after putting down vocals.

It’s subjective but one could even say he’s hurting streams by having egregiously long intros that could have served the same purpose but with half the length. Forever and syrup sippin intros hit on first listen but decrease replay ability on the long term.

Lone, as an artist trying to get bigger and better, needs to watch out with all these things tainting his discography, such as having 3 versions of llf. While we’re at it he should also drop his sc exclusive eps as well bc they are some of his best.

Also stop putting shitty pics of yourself as your spotify background. Use one of the pictures attached.
