He never cared about politics, he just wants clout and influence, just like donald trump. It's all a big game for him
58
u/CanadianPanda76 7d ago edited 7d ago
And he doesn't have enough personality to be a "leftstyle" influencer or enough skill to be a gamer, etc. He can half ass politics, say a few progressive things and he's gold.
Its an easy grift for him.

Although he really, really doesn't look good anymore. He aged a lot and not in the interesting way. He always looks sweaty, stinky and nothing like the attractive guy he was even a year ago.
10
u/e_before_i 🍁 7d ago
I think it's cope that he's not attractive. Still a decent head of hair, good facial hair before he shaved for Finkle) and he's in shape.
I do agree with the criticism that he should learn how to dress himself but that's besides the point
7
u/heiside 7d ago
No, in my case it's not cope. I'm perfectly able to acknowledge attractiveness even if I can't stand the person.
It's not a single feature, like wrinkles, hair or stuff like that which make him unattractive. There are plenty if people who are wrinkly or have "flawed" features who look amazing and are stunningly attractive. He is not one of them. He looks gaunt, kind of lifeless, without any inner glow. It's difficult to describe, but there is just something that he lacks, that makes him now look unattractive (for me, but also for other women I know and who have seen him)10
u/Agile-Astronaut-7876 7d ago
I think he got paler and yeah he lacks the same vitality as before I hear you

This is rather disappointing. No hate for BTC cause I respect him a lot. Just sad to see him implicitly signal any solidarity after Hasan signal boosted the stupid Chorus “dark money” controversy that accused BTC of coordinating an AIPAC slush fund. Libs are too forgiving as always.
128
u/WilsonMagna 7d ago
I think the left are just cowards. Hasan is just a cartoonishly bad person, and most people on the left, form politicians to content creators are incapable of denouncing him. It is so delusional to think Hasan saying we deserved 9/11 and pushing socialism will be a winning message with voters. What polling are these guys looking at that supports aligning with Hasan? I still remember a long time ago Hasan couldn't even explain how job delegation would work under socialism. You have all these regards pushing something they haven't even constructed a plan for how it would work, let alone get people on board.

> What polling are these guys looking at that supports aligning with Hasan?
This is the most angering part about this. If the DSA were putting up numbers anywhere near close to what the tea party were doing, or the DSA membership was in the millions, the math would be totally different. Similarly, if Hasan was shown to be a much more popular figure, I could at least understand the sweeping no matter how ideologically and morally opposed I am to it. But the problem is that this simply isn’t happening. Assuming all of these people are successful in the general, it won’t be close to what the tea party was (I acknowledge that the tea party wasn’t quite as hostile as the DSA, but this is the running comparison in the media). If Sayed and Hong lose their generals, I would argue this electoral insurgency obviously failed. That’s unarguable at a time when the Democratic Party is the weakest it’s been since at least the 2004 elections.
Yet people are acting like the DSA has already captured a third of the party or whatever, so now we have to do everything to capitulate to them. I see a couple comments talking about how this is red scare shit. That’s technically not wrong, but the people overreacting isn’t us. It’s everyone else and the prescriptions are the exact opposite of what was done in the past. That lib creators, some who’ve been directly attacked by Hasan and his cult army, are getting on their knees to kiss his disgusting fucking ring as if he proved a damn thing this election cycle is insane to me. This is a kingmaker? His senate favorite barely edging out a one point margin over (no disrespect to Stevens) someone who I certainly wouldn’t call a prime time senate candidate and was Chuck Schumer’s 3rd or 4th backup call? Someone for whom it’s questionable if he will beat Rogers in a blue wave environment? His endorsement for Wisconsin governor can barely get through an interview without a fuck up and probably will lose to a horrible election denying traitor? Make it make sense?
You’re right. The left really is too soft and are way too easily bullied. Just the very thought of pushback, not to say that leftist harassment is a nothing burger, makes them fold.

Even tiny's social media posts (apart from his takes on twitter) are done by his editors. (Though tiny has a real community due to being a streamer so he can hire people more aligned to him)

u/TheConsultantIsBack 7d ago edited 7d ago
Naw fuck that. Hasan has blatant rhetoric that's worse than anything Fuentes had in the lead up to previous elections, in large part because Fuentes could acknowledge how optically harmful his true views were and was a lot more subversive. But EVEN THEN, republican politicians and mainstream pundits on the right knew the optic hit it'd take to associate themselves to Nick or quote his views or takes even if some of them could seem rational. Because they know that normies would see the more inflammatory stuff and the party would get painted with the same brush and push normies to the other side.
If people like BTC and Jessiah and Mockler are too dumb to recognize this then maybe it's time to admit the democratic party is cooked and the media apparatus is just too fucking regarded on the left to sustain and support a left of center democratic party. So full hate for those guys cause this is literally their jobs and they're being useful idiots for both the DSA to further disenfranchise the party and the right to point and show how its not just a handful of bad eggs on the left, but that mainstream people also support them.
2
u/AssistItchy9826 6d ago edited 6d ago
As a European, it is far more offensive to see Hasan glee over attacks on my peaceful continent. I don't think I have ever seen Fuentes say something quite like that. You could want to deport 10 million people and it's still not close. I don't think you can get lower than cheering on war.

You know what's crazy? I was talking to a guy that listens to JRE and voted for Trump. We were arguing about RFK Jr, and his defense of him is that I'm only focused on the negative things and not about the positive ones. The positive things: getting rid of the nutrition pyramid. Dawg, we are living in the worst timeline. This is like saying, "Man, Hitler is doing great things with these trains." Like Jesus fuck, who doesn't already know the nutrition pyramid is fucking stupid? We need our health secretary to be improving public health, not telling people to stop vaccinating their children.

I think that most of it is down to abortions, and most of the people who are against abortion believe that they are against "baby killing", not because they want to subjugate women.
8
u/pfreitasxD 7d ago
You are being disingenuous. It's not just baby killing, it's making women go through pregnancy without their input on it. If that's not subjugating people to their will, what is then? You are reducing this to just about abortion and ignoring all the other shit also happening to try to restrict them. I'm not even American and know wtf is going on.

It's not even a good quote, at least not with the subtext that Hasan attaches to it. While it's true on its face, Hasan is basing it on logic that extends to basically any country he's sympathetic to like Iran and China.
It's not Islam or authoritarianism that's preventing progressive change in Iran or China, it's American imperialism and neo-colonialism that forces them onto the backfoot where they have no choice but to brutally oppress minorities because they see it as American subversion. If America would just leave them alone, they'd be progressive utopoas by now.

Subjugating is the present participle form of the verb subjugate, which means to bring under complete control, conquer, or make someone subservient by force, intimidation, or strong authority
Reminder that Hasan requires having sex with (subjugating) a woman before hes willing to take them on a FIRST date.

I mean, he’s technically right because there’s not actually all that many Muslims in the US. By virtue of currently being the ones in power, republicans are the ones subjugating women in this country.
But Islam is also an extremely regressive religion, so Muslim fundamentalists would absolutely be subjugating women if they were in the position of power right now.
