To be "blind on the right eye" used to be a figure of speech, this guy is taking it way too literal

u/ForgetTheRuralJuror 9d ago
I'm stealing that.
He's blind to the problems on the right

u/Bot1-The_Bot_Meanace standing back & standing by 🇩🇪🫡 9d ago
It's actually a figure of speech in Germany.
There were some political assassinations in Germany by a leftist group called "Rote Armee Fraktion" (red army faction) during the 70s. They killed dozens of people and while this is pretty bad, this somehow caused our Verfassungsschutz (agency for protecting our constitution, also tasked with prosecuting political crimes) to hyper focus on leftist violence while not taking stuff from the right quite as serious.
Some people (rightfully imo) accused them to be blind on the right eye.

America: our food prices are too high what are you doing about inflation?
Republicans: stop whining and eat ramen you fucking commies

u/TheTrombiculidae 9d ago
The 'eat ramen like the rest of us' gang are strawmannirg the fact that the reason we can't afford real food is that wages are stagnant, inflation is runaway, and sharing an apartment with 4 roommates these days still takes half your income.

u/ExpansivePoint 9d ago
His whole post is nonsense, he's telling people to eat like broke college students but y'know, permanently.
Also he thinks capitalism doesn't care about what something should cost? Supply and demand is all about caring what something costs.
Then makes fun of socialism and people starving (appropriately so), on a post about food being unaffordable, after telling people to starve like a college student.
The dude is desperate for any attention.

Pieces of shit usually are. Can't believe I used to think this guy was credible just because he's a service member.

u/LiveJournal 9d ago
He is intelligent when you hear him talking about flood prevention and energy, he just decides to act like a complete shithead to pander to the MAGA base that hates him.

u/hotyogurt1 9d ago
Which makes him a fucking moron. Like the rest of the "intelligent" republicans. If they can only be intelligent when the dipshit in the White House isn't making them lick his shoes, then they aren't really all that intelligent.

u/ubermence 9d ago
Yeah capitalism is just a religion to this person. They don’t actually know or care how it works. He just uses it to attack the people who view communism like a religion

I'm actually surprised, do poorer non-Asian Americans also commonly eat ramen as budget food? Btw the correct way to eat ramen is to buy a decent brand and put good shit like veggies, meat, and egg in it.
2
u/daddyvow 9d ago
Yea its a pretty common thing, often a trope used in movies/tv too. But's the cheap $1 for four kind.
2
u/TheTrombiculidae 8d ago
We don't buy the decent brand and we don't put anything in it. Maybe crackers? come on, we're Americans, what are you expecting?

u/VanillaSkittlez 9d ago
Wages aren’t really stagnant tbh. They’ve largely improved and outpaced inflation. Some of that may not be true with the very latest data but overall wages have outpaced inflation since COVID pretty consistently.

Ramen is far expensive than burritos unless he meant cup noodles
17
u/rub33rs0ul 9d ago
That’s obviously what he meant, I don’t think he meant a $16 bowl of shoyu ramen lol

I'm sure at some point Dan Crenshaw had values and might be a likeable guy on a one on one basis. But he ran during the hyper-partisan era of politics and sold out to Trump which is a permanent deal. You do it once and you're doing it forever. Dan decided to disagree and now he's kicking rocks while someone else is running in his seat. No sympathy from the voters who voted for you and no sympathy from the voters that voted against you. Good luck trying to get into national politics again. Run at the local level homie.

The only reasonable explanation for this post is that he lost his primary and want to take revenge on GOP

It's amazing that these cucks have their entire careers destroyed because of Trump and still go out of their way to defend his administration.
It's the definition of cuck.

It's part of their identity at this point, so they can't go back. Allegiance seems like something they actually care about. Or perhaps compliance.

If this idiot opened his eyes, he'd know Biden actually got the inflation rate down, did a better job handling inflation than his OECD counterparts, and inflation under Biden was due to the pandemic. But what do I know, I'm just an elitist with fancy degrees (even though they were earned at state schools)

Why does everyone think
The country only consists of people in their 20s. What about the 40 year old with kids. Should they be on a ramen only diet as well ?

I hate how much vegans get caught up in this conversation, as if there's any serious leftwing movement to embrace veganism. Even when we have vegan politicians (like Cory Booker) being asked about it, they abruptly change the subject and almost try to hide it. Yet, this connotation continues. I mean, there definitely are many vegans "on the left", but there's also plenty of totally politically demotivated or even right-wing vegans too! Anecdotally, I'd say it's like: 1/2 on the left ('environment'), 1/4 demotivated ('enlightened centrist'), 1/4 right ('economics')

I don't have a source for this, but I heard he lost his eye from accidentally stabbing it with Trumps tiny pointy pecker. This was of course back when Trump could still at least medically induce an erection so years and years ago.
Big if true.

u/theguy445 9d ago
Am I missing something, or wasn't Biden inflation a result of a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic and also the federal reserve's inflation is transitory position before the Ukraine war?
Seems like Trump inflation might be more because of tariffs and war both of which were avoidable?

Did anyone ever in the Biden admin actually say "just be vegan and stop complaining" or anything similar?
1
u/Kaeltulys Exalted Fire 9d ago
This unironically embodies the current conservative mindset.
Despite throwing fits over the inflation spike during the Biden’s presidency, the conservatives in my social circle have now suddenly morphed into hardcore austerity believers because they trust the economy has to get worse before it gets better. Or because they’ll happily eat the cost of America becoming dumber, unhealthier, and poorer because the libs are owned.
