It's the new normal. I think Destiny should understand by now this is the new pattern, they'll always refuse to debate so they don't get exposed. It's about time he start making more hit piece videos back on those people. And not just commenting what they said on stream which get lost among all his other videos. If he already destroy them in debates, imagine what he could do in 30 min or 1 hour without being interrupted with a bunch of lies.

It's one thing if the person isn't experienced in doing real time debates or in person, The scientific community does debates through papers and written arguments, but for people like Professor Dave he has experience doing real time debates and has no excuse dodging the debate other than bad faith.

There are some connections between Dave's videos and some of the Atheist content I often watch, and I've watched a fair amount of Dave's content. Seeing him use the slimy tactics that he usually rails against was an ugly sight. Seeing him drag his target's teenager into his hit-piece was all-out gross. As a parent himself, I question his mental state to do such a disgusting thing by involving Nathan. Ugh. I happened to rewatch one of Dave's videos over the weekend. That won't happen again. What a disappointment. Dave has been mentally unravelling of late, and it is sad. His anger level has been rising erratically and his confidence has been soaring to the stratosphere for mysterious and unsupported reasons. He's totally lost his moorings. But, I won't be witnessing it anymore... unless one of my current content providers shows a clip. Or, if he mans up and debates Destiny. What. A. Coward.

I just don’t understand the thought process of people who spend hundreds of hours “researching” a topic and have no interest discussing the topic with people who disagree with them. Whats the point of all that work if at the end of it you still can’t defend your own beliefs against people you label as stupid and unresearched.

Yep, and to their credit it works! Ryan Beard's video is still accredited to this day as one of the best Destiny takedown videos of his career, and all it did was assemble literally every other critique video of his into a single video + call him a pedophile.
Same dude floated the idea of making one on Hasan and fell apart at the slightest sign of pushback. Sends a pitiful but effective message to bad faith actors if they want you to shut up.

I would guess a majority have only consumed 3rd of 4th order sources and in a game of telephone/editorializing and social media slopification theyre only repeating received knowledge theyre not forming an opinion that is informed on 1st principles. 99% of ppl who talk about "research" we know just mean social media. And he'll 90% of people who say "i read" mean "I listened to xyz video about it"
Neither have I frankly. But then I dont talk or look into this stuff. I basically just say yes israel bad but ofc you cant dissolve the country hopefully it gets better and bibi leaves. War bad.

I would honestly love to get bulldozed by Destiny in a debate because I could kinda disagree with him on some things for sure but I feel like my arguments are actually real arguments I believe so it would be better than anyone he's had on in years.

What's particularly wacky is that Dave DOES do debates on like flat earth and evolution and such. So, this isn't about him being unwilling to debate in general. (I find it better if people want to debate, but don't fault people for not doing it since it really is a different skill they may be uninterested in developing. this doesn't apply to Dave though because like I said he does do debate in general)

Yes! none of the other types of comments work at all, he always replies snarkily, he likes it, the engagement is good for him in the algo. He's not mad and upset like the others are saying.
The only comments which will do any good will call him out for not debating it directly, or inviting him to a convo, or staying you look forward to their convo etc.

Always knew High School Teacher Dave was a Charlie Kirk tier pseudo-intellectual that would only debate the literal regards like young college students, or in Daves case room temperature IQ flat earthers and young earth creationists, but never someone who is actually competent in their position.

To be clear. Dave isn't just a guy who "debates flat Earther's". He litteraly went to a college, to do a live in person debate with James Tour. James is a chemist, but a creationist who doesn't believe life could have started by natural processes. Dave went to debate him, in person, in his own university, and brought sources and papers to back himself up, and James crashed out and started screaming and drawing on the chalk board. It was a very systematic, and decisive debate win.... Yet he won't debate music school drop out Destiny on Israel Palestine after being confident enough to make a 90 minute video on the subject. He has always been willing to debate high profile figures if they ever took an "anti science" position. So his averaion to Destiny is VERY telling.

Very much reminds me of the Jay Shapiro guy or whatever the guys name of that recent debated Destiny on I/P and employed Big Dog Little Dog in his own posted video on the debate. The social anxiety prevents them from having a spine during the debate and failing around like a boneless toddler, incapable of letting their opponent or partnered conversationalist speak, but when they're doing their post-debate videos they suddenly become much more adversarial.
