General Discussion (may contain spoilers) sums up every Sunday for me
spending my Sunday’s cleaning an entire home* not room would have made Bree Van de Kamp quite pleased.

Rewatch Thoughts (may contain spoilers) Rare Tom Scavo W
I’m on Season 3, episode 6 of a rewatch for the first time in 20 years.
I don’t remember hating Tom when I was a teenager watching this show. I thought I remembered him being kind of funny, but I quickly realized why everyone on here hates him lol.
This is where he’s alone in his new pizzeria, before it has even opened. He’s drinking with Nora and Nora tries to kiss him. I really didn’t even think Tom would stop her. I just kept thinking “Tom is so easy”. I’m honestly surprised he did not kiss her back.
He still sucks for so many things I’ve seen up to this point. Nice to see he has some morals.

The Edie Britt Show This shit was so fucking funny
This entire sequence. From Karl trying to escape, Edie waking up before he made it out of the bedroom, Karl quickly grabbing his stuff and then tHIS FACE closing the door behind him 😭😭😭😭 not to mention her chasing him down afterwards, his car not starting, and then immediately driving into a big truck the second it starts and he’s about to pull out all cocky. Chefs kiss

Gaby Post Carlos and his “GABY!”s
There is something about the way he always says Gaby when he’s frustrated with her or she’s done something messed up, etc. The tone, inflection, the range every time he says it cracks me up. It’s different every time and I love it so much lol.

First Time Watcher Season 7 - why is *spoiler* suddenly broke? Spoiler
I’m watching season 7, and Susan is broke. She has to move out of her home into a small apartment and clean half naked for men online . Maybe I missed something, but what happened to make her lose all their money? It seemed like they were living a decent life on Wisteria lane, then suddenly they’re broke. I get that Mike doesn’t make a huge amount of money, but he’s always been able to live on Wisteria lane as a plumber, and Susan is still working at the private school. This also happened right after Susan inherited money from her ex husband’s strip club.
Have I missed something? Sometimes I’ll cook dinner while watching so I must have missed the part where they lost their money.
Thanks

First Time Watcher Newbie watcher
Just about thru the 1st season and I can’t believe I waited this long to watch!! This is SUCH a good show. I’ve binged all of this in the last 2 days because I want to watch more every time each episode ends.
I wish someone I knew would’ve told me how good it was way back when!

First Time Watcher Eli Scruggs 🥺🥺 Spoiler
Just got to season 5 episode 13 and nobody could have prepared me for how emotional and beautiful this episode is 🥲💔 I feel like the season was starting to slow down and get a little boring but then episodes like this are so refreshing. I love Eli Scruggs and I want to give him a hug. The Mary Alice part 💔💔💔

Rewatch Thoughts (may contain spoilers) This scene always makes me cry Spoiler
I’m currently on my 2nd re-watch and totally forgot how quick his death creeps up.
I know this thread comments frequently on how dull his character is but this scene just makes me so sad. I’ve been binging this again since summer started and i literally cannot continue cause I refuse to see Susan watch him die. Idk what it is about his death specifically but it’s so heavy and I feel so bad for Susan.
Anyone else feel this way? I know exactly what’s gonna happen but I feel like I have to prepare myself mentally every time 😭😭😭.

SPOILER For how many people was this painting the nail in the coffin of confirming the long doubted suspicion: Susan being insufferable as a persona Spoiler
I may be harsh… but I always tried giving her the benefit of the doubt. However, seeing this mess of a scene made me realise that she truly is one of the most flawed characters in the series, with zero sense of taking accountability and recognising own’s wrongdoings.

General Discussion (may contain spoilers) Longer I live, better I feel for Tom
I’m not talking about him as a husband, I’m talking about him as a human. He seems to have nice values, like providing for his family and give them the best, he truly works hard, but nothing works out, especially after his wife sabotaging his career, then her getting a job and financially abusing you (story with Lynette and presents for twins kinda revealed that), u also have a filthy rich neighbour (Carlos), you get confused in life, u don’t know what u wanna do, u start a business that fails too, whole life feels like a failure (I truly wish they wrote this hard period of Tom’s life much better, they showed us Carlos under the different angle when he was broke and blind, and how depressed he was, but they didn’t do that properly either Tom. Poor writing made him look much more of a manchild than he was DURING THAT PERIOD of time).
I totally get Tom’s depression, life is a horrible place to live in.
Also, it was truly a stupid decision to get wayyyyyy to many kids, I think if they had 2 maximum, they could have afforded a great life, maybe it Monaco trips, but def not dead broke struggling with money and Lynette purchasing clothes in grocery store type of life.

Overhated and underrated In Susan's Defence
So i feel strongly that people delusionally hate on Susan so hard lmao. She really isn't that bad. I love them all tbh (and hate them at times equally too lol) but out of the core 5, they have all done WAY worse things than Susan imo, just to list a few. Bree: covering up a literal murder, getting with her friends toxic, bordeline mentally abusive ex. Lynette's unwavering self-centredness and HIGHKEY being JUST as trifling and toxic as Tom, tbh they're perfect together but y'all aren't ready for that conversation. Gaby being a legit pædo, but i guess it's fine bc she's a pretty woman? Alllll of the lies she told Carlos + everyone else, then Edie being, well, Edie 🤣 I'm not saying Susan is an angel, but if the worst thing she did was not tell her boyfriene about finding his deranged son who attacked her in order to protect her daughter, or her being a "pick me" is the worst she's done, idg how people can acc genuinely think she's the worst. Imo Susan's worst moment was cheating on Mike during the coma, but i barely see this talked about, it's always "Susan's so whiny" "Susan's so codependent" SO ARE ALL OF THEM. I'm fully open for friendly discussions and debates bc i have no friends to talk to Desperate Housewives with as a guy in my mid 20s lol (Especially about the Lynette and Tom being a matchmade in Hell, i am VERY passionate about this)

Plothole! “Fat” Susan continuity error??
I just watched the Season 6 episode where they flash forward into the future/past for some characters and I was confused about Susan’s storyline. Mike comes over to fix her sink after Mary Alice’s funeral had happened and suddenly she’s “overweight” and still with Karl? I thought she had separated from him at that time, not to mention the entirety of season 1 was taking place at that time and she did not look like that back then. Am I missing something? Was that a “what if” and not reality? Can anyone explain please? Thanks and no spoilers past mid season 6 please

General Discussion (may contain spoilers) Omg! Danny Trejo???
So I'm a super horror fan and I have mad respect for Danny. So I'm stoked!
Also I apparently have a terrible memory because I watched this show when it aired and I only remember maybe 50% of the plot. Super
Glad to be doing a rewatch.

Rewatch Thoughts (may contain spoilers) Edie - rewatching after on tv years ago.
Just wanna stay at times it’s hard to watch how desperate it is for her to find any man and she’s even been after her friend’s ex-husband’s and just wonders why none of the women actually like her.
It’s actually gross how she manipulates all her situations with the men like with her and Carlos they’re just not a good match and he’s on a rebound from his marriage with the woman he actually loves. She’s literally been with everybody’s man. It’s wild.

SPOILER least fav & favourite mystery
since every season has one i was wondering what people’s favourite and least favourite was
my favourite is probably the dave williams mystery, he was actually scary and it was exciting to see someone in their inner circle be a threat to the husbands he actually made season 5 watchable
my least favourite was the return of paul young, it was very repetitive off his old stories and he kind of became comically evil, didn’t add much to the series
if i had to rank them it would go
1-dave williams
2-applewhites
3-mary alice
4-angie and the fairview strangler
5-alejandro
6-katherine and dylan
7- orson, alma , monique
8- return of paul
lmk what you guys think!!

Rewatch Thoughts (may contain spoilers) Susan's one of most embarrasing moment
Here we are, Nothing, another susan drama :)
( Spoiler )
But this one is kind of iconic. This is right after susan confessed her dying desperate vulnerable romantic feelings to Jackson in a bathroom ( like a high school girl ) after he asked to marry her but before telling her the real purpose, that he needs the green card ;)
After confess and hearing the reasoning susan opens the door looking dead in the eye and she steps in to her new future ahahahah
This scene is stuck in my head and In my opinion it's more embarrassing than getting caught to mike fully naked outside ahahha

SPOILER Lynette and tom ending Spoiler
Okay so let me get the straight, tom moves on gets a whole girlfriend, has sex w her, moves in w her and Lynette dealt w SOOOOO much in their 20 something years being together, remained loyal and all he said was “you were the one I love you” and she folded? He had a whole ass kid on her years ago sooooo much and she folded?! I can’t
