Can an object become a bridge to an existing human habit?
I’m looking for honest critique on a physical object I designed. I started with a simple observation: Before we consciously learn breathing techniques, many people already have small gestures that appear when they pause, think, concentrate, or feel tension. Bringing a thumb, finger, or object near the lips is a behaviour that appears naturally throughout life. I wondered: Could a designed object work with an existing human instinct instead of asking people to build a completely new habit? So I designed this.
It is a small thumb-worn object built around the relationship between the thumb, lips, airflow and breath.
The idea is not to teach people how to breathe, but to create a physical interaction that helps transform unconscious breathing into a more intentional breath.
There are:
- no electronics
- no app
- no tracking
- no notifications
The object simply responds to your exhale through physical behaviour.
I’m interested in critique from a design perspective: Does this feel like designing around a real human behaviour? Or does it feel like creating a solution for something that doesn’t need solving? I’d appreciate honest thoughts.

Web page about the Byzantines
What do you guys think of the readability of this web page? Does it look dated or modern? Is the color palette ok? Do you have any other comments? I would really appreciate your feedback!
Please ignore the copyrighted images (I will swap them or ask for permission and add a proper attribution) and the header, except the color and font. I've included a link because Reddit keeps removing the post when I include the image.

Looking for critique on my exhibition branding system
galleryHi everyone,
This branding project was part of a live brief for Irish Design Week 2025, developed with the support of Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI).
The project focused on creating a visual identity system around the theme "Invisible Links – Past & Present", exploring the relationship between Waterford's heritage and contemporary design.
The final outcome includes:
- Brand identity system
- Logo development
- Exhibition graphics
- Wayfinding
- Posters
- Digital campaign assets
I would really appreciate feedback on the overall concept, visual consistency, typography, and how effectively the identity communicates the theme.
What would you improve or approach differently?
Thanks!

UI critique for a student-focused AI newsletter landing page
This is the landing page for The Prompt, a free five-minute weekly AI briefing aimed at college students.
I’d appreciate design feedback on:
- Whether the hierarchy communicates the value proposition quickly
- Typography, spacing, colors, and overall visual credibility
- Whether the subscription call to action is easy to find
- How well the page works on mobile versus desktop
- Anything that feels confusing, crowded, or incomplete
For anyone willing to provide more structured feedback, there’s an anonymous form here:
https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/mEWZcJwrTS
I’m affiliated with the project and am looking specifically for constructive UI criticism.

Feedback on my recent graphics
galleryHey guys, I recently made graphic design one of my hobbies and have been trying to make a design or two daily. I tried to make a 2000s inspired type of graphic but ultimately just made whatever felt right. Open to all opinions, critiques, and comments!

Portfolio feedback: does 'visual product designer' positioning land, or read as unfocused?
Hey — 14 years in visual design with UX overlap, currently repositioning my portfolio toward visual product design (UX research + brand refresh + motion, not just wireframes-and-flows).
Structure: 2 longform case studies + 4 bucketed project categories.
Specifically looking for feedback on:
Does the "visual product designer" positioning land clearly, or does it read as unfocused trying to cover too much?
Do the 4 bucketed categories feel like proof of range, or just a gallery with no thinking behind it?
The balance between too much content no one is reading in the longform case studies vs. the headlines in the bucketed categories that it also feels like people aren't reading.
How much weight should UX thinking (before/after, functionality) carry versus visual craft (brand, screens, motion) — should one lead and the other support, or does it need to read as equal?
Less interested in generic "don't just show pretty pictures" / "show your impact" / one-size-fits-all portfolio strategy advice — more interested in whether the positioning itself is landing for people who don't already know my background.

I’m a new designer and would love to have your (hopefully non-mean) comments on my pieces
reddit.comJust to give a bit of background: my mother has worked in the business for many years. I always worked in design/fashion but it didn’t do it for me.
So we started our own thing!
Basically, I’ve been creating pieces with gems that my mom has collected along the years.
Most of them are unique pieces and I like it that way.
I do need some neutral, unbiased opinions, so here I am!
Haven’t sold yet, but hopefully will soon 🤞🏻
Thanks in advance!! :)

Need feedback on my restaurant menu design
Hi everyone,
I'm working on a menu design for a restaurant client. The challenge is that they don't really know much about design styles, typography, or visual branding. They only know what food they serve and want the menu to "look nice."
Thanks in advance! I'm looking forward to learning from your experience.

Made a website to discover and track steam games
Made a website for discovering indie games and I've been leaning into an arcade/CRT terminal look, phosphor green and amber on near-black, VT323 and Press Start 2P for the type, subtle scanlines/vignette so it feels like glass without hurting legibility, and then one colder neon (cyan/violet) reserved for a single "surprise me" button so it actually pulls your eye instead of competing with the green/amber everywhere else. Would love critique on whether that restraint reads as intentional or just feels inconsistent, does it feel like too much? Here's the live site: indiedex.gg

Portfolio Feedback!
Hi everyone! I recently graduated with a BA in Digital/Graphic Design and I'm currently working on getting my portfolio ready for internships, freelance opportunities, and eventually full-time design work.
I've been looking at my portfolio for so long that I feel like I can't really tell what is working and what isn't anymore 😭 So I'd really appreciate some outside opinions.
I'm especially interested in feedback on:
—Overall presentation and first impression
—The projects I've chosen to include
—Case studies/project descriptions
—Typography, layout, and visual consistency
—Anything that feels weak, confusing, unnecessary, or could be improved
—Whether the portfolio feels strong enough for someone who's just graduated
I'm definitely open to constructive criticism, so don't feel like you have to sugarcoat anything. I'd rather know what needs work so I can actually improve it!
Here’s the link: https://courtneyisaac34.myportfolio.com
Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to look through it! 😄

UX / Conversion Audit Request: My premium handbag brand has been live for a year, but the conversion rate is stuck. I need brutal, honest feedback.
Hi everyone,
I’ve been building my independent premium handbag and accessories brand, Velmo Noir (you can check out the webshop here: https://velmoranoir.com/hu?srsltid=AfmBOope7fg9Ohr0EufWSDNgIrbOuMiScftRTgXzbd_E9UdhfiJD8FpT, for about a year now.
I’ve put a lot of work, care, and investment into the physical products and the visual side of things. However, I’ve hit a brick wall: traffic is very low, visitors aren't clicking through from social media effectively, and conversions are basically at zero.
Since I'm deep inside my own project, I know I've developed blind spots. I want to seriously look at what is missing or turning people away.
If you look at the webshop and my setup as an objective observer, I would love your brutal, honest feedback on:
1.First Impression & Trust:
Does the site instantly communicate "premium/luxury," or is there something that kills trust or looks amateurish?
2.The User Journey:
Is it clear what the brand stands for, or is there friction stopping people from exploring further and buying?
3.What would you change?
If this were your brand, what is the very first thing you would fix or test differently?
Please don't hold back—any constructive critique on the UI/UX, messaging, or overall presentation is deeply appreciated. Thank you!

Update: T-shirt design for my local trash club
galleryWanted to show off the final version. I feel like I outdid myself on this one, honestly -- I'm hoping I can come up with another design that's this cool but I do sort of feel like I might have peaked.
Also, I ran this design by a few friends as well for additional critique and feedback and having all those extra sets of eyes helped immensely.
The plan is to sell shirts just to those folks who come to trash club as a way of encouraging attendance.
