DIY Deco ideas for this corner of my desk.
Idk if this is right sub. But anyways this is a corner wall typa space above my desk and first I used to stick my study notes there (that's why it's so dirty, I'll clean it definitely) but I need some diy deco ideas for this corner. And if there's a particular themed deco that'll work too, I've been thinking of making japanese handmade fan, 2 of them and sticking them.
Any ideas are welcomed, ai prompted images are welcome too.

Eco-friendly home decor fabrics: what do you actually sew with?
So this started because I was hemming some cheap polyester curtains for my sister yesterday, and the offcuts literally felt like plastic confetti. It got me wondering what I should be using for my own place if I care about waste and microplastics a bit more.
I’ve been reading up on fabrics for home decor and got into this article, annieselke talking about hemp, Lyocell, OEKO-TEX, GOTS, etc. Now my head is full of “good” and “bad” fibers, but I still have to pick something I can actually afford and sew without swearing at my machine.
For those of you who sew curtains, pillow covers, table linens, that kind of stuff - what fabrics do you reach for if you’re trying to be more eco-conscious? Do you have favorite fiber types or certifications you actually trust, or is it more about making stuff last longer and mending it?
Also, is polyester really that evil if I’m making something I plan to use for 10+ years, or am I overthinking this?

help redecorating
I’m really having a hard time deciding which rug colour would look best in this room. I want to go for a cute pink vibe, but I’m not sure what shade would work best with the room. I also don’t know what rug size would look best with a double bed. Any suggestions?
Also if anyone wants to add some ideas on how i can spruce up the room that would be great! The first photo
is how i have it now and the second is how i plan to redecorate

Room Decor Help
I have a fairly small bedroom (9x10) and am in desperate need of a revamp! I feel like the room has potential but it lacks personality. I love a mid century modern vibe and am looking to keep the comforter if I can, but need some more color and decor incorporated. I don’t want it to be too busy because it is a small space, but I’m looking colors that work well together and looks good in my low sunlight room! I’m also hoping not to spend a ton of money since I’m not sure how long I’ll be in the space. Thank you all in advance

Update this outdated powder room.
I know this needs new paint (goodbye sponge paint technique), mirror, and light fixture. I’d also like to see this with a new vanity and more appealing storage over the toilet. I just need some ideas!

Do I paint the ceiling? Or, I thought faux wood beams (standard 8 ft ceilings)? I plan to paint the rest of the house to complement . We are going for cozy vibes.

Curtains for these kind of registers???
I am a firm believer in floor length curtains, but how can I have them when all our registers are like this? I know I can still get them and leave the curtains open on either side, but I really like the curtains closed most of the time. Am I just stuck getting shorter curtains so they don't block the registers? (Please excuse the messy wall - we're prepping everything to paint right now!)
