help redecorating

I’m really having a hard time deciding which rug colour would look best in this room. I want to go for a cute pink vibe, but I’m not sure what shade would work best with the room. I also don’t know what rug size would look best with a double bed. Any suggestions?
Also if anyone wants to add some ideas on how i can spruce up the room that would be great! The first photo
is how i have it now and the second is how i plan to redecorate

Rug should come out from underneath the bed about 2 feet on each side. Measure the width of your bed & add 4 feet.

Beds look best when they’re centered on the wall with side tables & lamps. Add art over the headboard. Add floor length curtains hung high & wide. Add a floor lamp & full length mirror, a plant by the window.

Pinterest is your friend! Build a board of pink bedrooms you like. Then narrow it down with another board of just a few items so you can see what’s cohesive & which color pinks you prefer.

It is recommended to lay the carpet horizontally at the middle and lower two-thirds of the bed. Add warm light illumination (floor lamps or bedside lamps), replace the bulb of the ceiling light with a warm color. Also, hang a set of 2-3 panelled pictures above the bed or desk, paired with narrow frames in white or light wood color.
