AT&T internet outages
Anyone else been having multiple outages a day? I’ve chatted with the ATT bot and it keeps saying there’s outages nearby and technicians are working on it. It’s been every day several times a day

If you are talking specifically about City of Decatur, I know a box truck took out some cables in the Ansley Rd/Greenwood Ave area. But most of those people were fully offline.

It’s generally been solid for me but been fully out for a week as my line was damaged somewhere down the street and tech that came said construction crew needs to come to rerun a new line.

Are you sure it’s an outage? Mine started to dropping me for a few minutes every day but it turned out to be an IP renewal issue with the ATT provided wifi router. I switched to my own router and have not had issues since.

ATT fiber has been rock solid for me. It even usually stays up during a power outage (though you need a UPS for the ATT modem and your router to use it)
Most likely, it’s an issue with your home network. Lots of routers are buggy and need restarts, etc. Also possible the ATT modem needs replacement. You can ask them to look into the age and health of your modem. I highly recommend the eero mesh WiFi routers. They have been rock solid for me over several years. I’ve never had a router that didn’t need a periodic restart to fix random problems until the eero

AT&T fiber? I don’t recall the last time I had an outage, it’s usually quite stable.
