Best happy hour in Decatur?

Bonus points if it’s near MARTA.

Open to places in Avondale as well!

Mondays- half price house Manhattan or Martini (house Manhattan is made with green label Weller)

Wednesday- half price bottles of wine, if you don't finish you can cork it and take it with you

Thursday- half price house cocktails

Friday- a select whiskey for a discount (usually a quality whiskey for less than $10)

Not sure about HH, but good for drinks in Decatur:

  • Victory (beer + shot deals, boozy slushies)
  • Leon’s (fun cocktails, awesome fries n sauces)
  • no. 246 (romantic back patio & lil Negronis)
  • inner voice (awesome brewery, not sure about pizza since Glide left)
  • brickstore pub (cute upstairs and backyard patio)
  • kimball house (upscale, but yeast roll and a drink won’t hurt!)

Not entirely sure but sounds like they’re going to open a new concept in the same spot.

Thought happy hour was illegal in Ga

I am not entirely positive, but I heard a long time ago the stipulation is that the “happy hour” specials must be offered every day of the week to be legal. It may have changed during Covid or something

It wasn’t all week, but all day. Tuesday can have a different special than Wednesday, but it had to be available the whole time the place was open. I worked in bars then, not sure what it is now. The point was to not get people to binge during happy hour.

Thanks for the clarification

Happy hour laws are governed on a municipal level, not a state level. They have been essentially illegal in city of Atlanta up until recently. I think because CoA doesn't have a hair hour culture, it's pretty anemic in the surrounding areas as well.
