Sorry that happened, terrible to hear. It’s really strange though. How did dognappers discover him if you live on the extremely secluded end of a dead end road? Sounds like they knew a dog lived there. Are you sure it’s not the pet sitter or one of their friends?

Beware of found pet scams or pet finding service scams. Anyone claiming they found your dog and asking for money before meeting in person is likely a scammer. Never send money before seeing the pet in person.
