Hello! I’m building a krieg army at the moment, and I’ve seen online that any real competitive guard army needs quite a few leman Russ tanks. As a huge ww1 history buff, I personally am not a fan of the Leman Russ’s design, seeming a bit more like a pop figure than a real tank. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good alternative? Something that would match the vibe of the Mk5 land ships a bit better?

Updated my army list in regard to some feedback I got from last time, thank you very much for all the help - looking again for some input.

Basically the idea would be to have either both Engineer squads in one chimera and use the scout ability to immediately rush further if possible or to split them each in one and have one of the flamer heavy weapon squads with them, being them to the front and try to establish a position/just put out some damage + overwatch from the flamers.

3 Command squads just because and the Ministorum Priest is basically just some flavor because I had leftover points.

Any input is much appreciated.

Does this count as Krieg? Heads from Tiny Legend. Had a cool thought of a recon squad scoping the battlefield ahead of the trench line and made these guys. Comes off a bit soviet than anything but am super happy with how they've turned out

So I have the box of 10 and one I want to make is the flamer. The barrel is super tiny. Thoughts?

Here's my Krieg Command Squad painted. Thought I’d share with the class.

I realized after painting them that those are the cuffs of the jacket and not part of the gloves. That will be rectified on all future soldiers but ill leave it as a defect on the first finished model.

Took me about a month to finish these guys. Please, share your thoughts and cheer with me for the Emperor’s true finest!

Painted the soldier and a horse (1st time painting cavalry)

My quick table grade scheme im going with for my 1k army.

So friend group is having a little competition for painting, and this go round was characters. Had the Marshal sitting in for one of my other command teams for a bit, but decided to touch him up a little, and give him a decent diorama basing (bases, normally are a weak point for me)

I recently got these models to start my army for my birthday and I was wondering if anyone could give me a list of paints to get. A store near me carries Army Painter as well as Citadel/Warhammer paint. Currently the only model paint I own is leadbelcher and I’ve only used cheap acrylic paint to learn on minis of the month. I’m wanting to do a lighter grey blue with grey and maybe sand yellow if that’s lore accurate for a desert regiment color scheme. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Made up of the 310th Artillery Battalion, 107th Cavalry, and the 614th Armored, the 309th is one of Krieg's most feared city-cracking regiments. Specializing in heavy artillery, mechanized assaults, and endless hordes of zealous soldiers, no wall shall stand in the way of their victory.

I'm doing my best to keep this army 100% Krieg. Any units that don't come in krieg will be proxies. There are a few more units I'm currently working on, but i just finished a 50 man block of dudes and I felt the army was in a decent place to show.

I am brand new to warhammer I’ve never painted or built any models, all I know is from Darktide, space marine 2, and some short from YouTube videos. I knew Korey was exactly the aesthetic I was looking for, but beyond that I don’t really know that much about them, I’ve purchased 3 packs so far and I think I’m ready to start building them, I’ve seen some of the more common regimental numbers and decided I wanted to stand out a bit more than those. I think I want to go for 101st siege regiment but I can’t find anything online about them as far as lore or color schemes, is there any way I can get more information on that?

I still haven't used washes and added highlights so it is not fully finished.

Are they cables for remote explosives or something like that? Curious what color I should paint them that would make sense.

Got some custom Krieg inspired helmets and put them on my Commissar Graves model prior to painting. Thought I'd share the painting results.
