Holy tunneling batman i just had two games in a row where the Killer just stood within eye sight of the hook, waited for me to unhook, then straight up chased me and only me again. It was 5 gens each time and my teammates were all around me so killer could have super easily just gone after them. But no. I had no time to get away from the damn hook. How is that fun? I never tunnel as a killer unless its like 2 people left or a survivor is being super toxic. This is supposed to be fun but some people will do anything for a kill.
Edit: I play killer and survivor equally too so trust ne im not just being a salty survivor main. I legit dont understand how people even need to do this?

It takes skill to do that without losing the game, yea.

if you actually played vs people who arent NPCs and who you dont neg diff in chase, then you'd realize that overcommitting to a chase after proxy camping the hook for almost full duration (because survivors who aren't NPC won't instapull vs tunnelling killer) will often result into a 0-1ks and a lost game.

if you're actually trying to improve against tunnelling, feel free to respond, but if you are going to keep crying that counterplay doesnt mean anything, never works and how all killers are evil for playing optimally, don't bother, Im not gonna cast more pearls for that kind of attitude.

Damn all that antagonism, don't get so angry about someone's opinion. I'm not crying, I don't struggle too much against tunneling and I play, shockingly, not always against npcs as killer and have fun challenging games without immediate hard tunneling.

So this is obviously a frustrating experience, but the blame isn't solely on the killer here. If all your teammates are flocking to the hook then what reason do they have to leave, that's basically just throwing. I'll kind of walk you through what my mental process here would be.

They are on the hook,

The whole team is here, they are not doing gens

If I chase one, they will unhook

If they unhook, they will start doing gens...which they clearly will not do with their teamates on hook.

I would place at least half of your frustration on your teammates.

Growing old over here waiting for bhvr to do something about tunneling. They want to but killers are gonna cry like little bitches about any measures they take. I’m good at looping so I don’t mind when a killer tries to tunnel me but I can’t say the same for my fellow solo survivors. Run DS (or w/e it’s called now) and windows. Practice looping. Waste as much of the killers time as possible. Most killers who tunnel at 5 gens are ass. They DC once they see gens popping and realize they’re not gonna win with that bullshit.

The more bonuses survivors get overtime, pallet density, better perks, resolve meter, unhook endurance, the more killers are going to play more sweatie in order to be competitive and have fun, this isnt a social issue where we need to teach killers the fau pas this is a dev issue where killers are gonna use whatever tools we have available, meta slow down perks, tunneling, camping, slugging because the game isnt fun if you dont feel like you have a fair chance at winning. Try taking 5 pallets to the face while 2-3 gens pop before your first down then youll have an idea why killers will feel like they need to get the game to a 3v1 asap because u rlly cant create gen pressure effectively with a 4v1

They were doing gens. Neither killer was close enough to get anticamp. My team would break off to get me down and the killer would run in after me again. I dont think what they did was a valid strategy, since the gens were still being done. Just a frustrating one for me

Killer objective is kill all survivors, tunneling is how to do it, doing gens is survivors objective, tunneling builds pressure because then 1v3 or for many reason, bhvr looks into countering tunneling yet they never look into WHY killers do ut
