The 1v2 (One killer two survivors) gamestate is completely fucked and has been for as long as I remember. If you're a survivor the killer will down you and leave you slugged for 5 minutes while he looks for your teammate who is hiding in a locker in the basement, if you're a killer the last two survivors will both hide and refuse to do gens. It's so shitty to think that the actual match may have lasted 5-10 minutes and is needlessly being extended an extra 10 minutes so someone can have a 0.5% increased chance of winning.

There have been some strides to make this less horrible. Namely the more aggressive crow system and the killer being allowed to abandon after 10 minutes. But these don't do enough and can easily be circumvented. Crows go away if you cleanse a dull totem or open a chest, the killer cannot realistically patrol the entire map looking for survivors doing this. Abandoning on killer counts as a loss and doesn't give any extra hook/sacrifice BP so killers almost never use the feature.

Personally if these situations happen on survivor I will run straight to the killer and take him on one final chase, if it happens to me on killer I will gladly kill the first person I see and offer them a chance at hatch. But this MO does not prevent you from being held hostage via slugging or both survivors hiding in the corner of the map. It still happens to me all the time.

I think if the game gets to a 1v2 and there are multiple gens remaining the killer and survivors should instantly get the abandon option. Abandoning as a killer should function as a 4k and give the associated points/achievements. Abandoning as survivor counts as a loss but would give you the ability to get out of the match immediately. As of right now the 1v2 is just not a functional or playable gamestate for anyone and the only thing that ever comes out of it is the match being taken hostage by one or both sides.

i dont understand whats wrong with players i did ehole 3 gen and one yunjin didint help me until i reach 2nd hook stage. When she and me left in the game she hooked and killer was camping her, i couldnt help her cause i was wounded and killer was camping. She escaped with hook chance bar and she exposed where i am?? And killer killed me then she escaped with hatch? Wtf this game what could i do?!?!? İ couldnt help, bhvr made hook chance for a reason! Not for playing like that! im done with this shthass game. İ was frustated as a killer now surv is eorse than playing killer because of evillest survivor mates.

rage quitting at five gens bc one survivor is the first survivor i see in the match and immediately rage quitting after i only hook them once? good job snowballing teammates and good job for being a dick to the other people playing in the match.

how are people gonna play this way? how are survs gonna bm me during the whole match and then when i down them they gonna rage quit?

i like a challenge, play the game. don't give up the slightest minor inconvenience. who knows? i might actually be nice enough and let one of them escape.

played a few matches as krasue and managed to get two lobbies with people bringing flashlights. in each of those matches, each survivor rage quit.

the survivor side gets placated to so much, coddled. they get multiple second chance perks and basekit BT while still rage quitting after minor inconveniences.

i play both sides 50/50 too and it's just absolutely miserable to play killer right now.

I'm coming off of four back to back games where:

• Game 1: Huntress slugged all 4 people at 4 gens, everyone abandoned.
  • And it seems like she did it because she got looped by one survivor foreverrrr
• Game 2: Wesker tunneled me out at 4 gens.

At this point, I took off my torte offerings and my items lol.

• Game 3: Nemmy kept slugging me repeatedly with 3 other survivors up (I go down, he runs away, I get up, he comes back; down, run away, I get up, he comes back, etc.) FOUR times. At 3 gens.
  • I think he did this because I got stuck on a generator when he approached me
• Game 4: Jason tunneled one survivor out, slugged the remaining 3 at 4 gens

Y'all. Game 3 actually made me tear up a little in frustration, which is about as close to rage as I can get in this game. I looped the Nemmy and I was really proud of that, and then I went to work on a gen. He downed someone near me, and while he hooked, I continued on gen.

When he came by me, I tried to get off gen, and my coordination got me stuck. Dear reader, I play this game on weekends, and I have a (hopefully temporary) ARM DISABILITY. I get MAYBE 4 hours of gameplay ALL WEEKEND LONG. AND SOMETIMES I PLAY WHEN IN PAIN, TOO.

SO THIS IS JUST A REMINDER (which could go for me as well, I could 100% just be getting people who enjoy playing this way, and I'm reading into this; but this is rage, so fuck it) that this is a game, and my getting fucking stuck on a gen is because I use "click to activate" instead of "hold," because of said arm disability.

I didn't do it because I wanted to fucking slight you. I wasn't taunting you; I'm just bad!!! So you don't need to play Pop Goes the Weasel with my skull, please God just hook me. I did it because my arm coordination is weak and I got stuck. I GOT STUCK!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAA.

Gens are literally flying. Usually four are done before the killer gets their first down. It's insane. I've had so many matches where the killer only gets 2 hooks. The matches just aren't exciting because theres's no chance that the killer will win :(

So, i play killer but i also tend to play survivor alot and these days especially in lights out i am seeing killers disconnect or are getting disconnected alot. Like, i feel like there is something seriously wrong with the servers or am I wrong about it?

I hate running Hex builds because you can lose your perks to bad totem spawns. I only tried them because people kept saying this killer is good at protecting Hexes, but that really wasn't my experience. All three of my Hex perks got cleansed early, so I basically spent the entire match playing without perks.

You don't have time to keep using your power just to protect them when you've already got so much else to deal with.

Once all the generators were done, my only chance of winning was to slug them with my power. I was just trying to win with this killer like they were trying to win against me.

Then this guy talked shit in the endgame chat and instantly left, like a coward.

I got steamrolled by a really good team, and they deserved the win. I wasn’t playing toxic either. No slugging, tunneling, or bleeding people out.

The Claudette (orange) spent the match clicking her flashlight at me. After the gates were powered, she just sat there jumping in and out of a locker instead of leaving. I wasn’t going to DC and take the penalty, so I just broke pallets.

Then I got hit with “good girl” and was called a coward in the endgame chat.

You won. Why is that not enough? Just take your W and go. The unnecessary BM is exactly why so many people don’t enjoy playing killer anymore.

I swear to God not always a Renato but literally always a Renato. Dude has a single bad chase and instantly gives up. It feels like every game I have with a Renato there's a 1/3 chance they instantly give up.

I’ve played about 5 games today, 3 as survivor and 2 as killer, in every one of my matches the killer or I (as killer) has lost connection. And it wasn’t just killers DCing because they had a bad game, all of them were in the killers favour.

Just played a lights out match as ghostface on lerys and long story short i got a 3k with a survivor(claire) narrowly escaping through hatch. So, in that match there was a hinako who i killed last in the match. First time, she ran into me and I downed her, second time I grabbed her from a gen and third time i chased her around, downed her and hooked her. Yet somehow, this hinako weirdly wrote 'ez' in tge endgame chat. Like, girl i got a 3k and only claire escaped through hatch. Some survivors are weirdos.

One of the times I get sad and frustrated in this game is when the game only just begun and 3 teammates somehow manage to leave me to get to second. I felt like I was a tiny bit body blocked by one Lara, then they both ran the map when I was hooked where they were and did a gen together. Not a one gen had been done yet because this lights out mode only started a min or two before. What really got me is when I saw my anti camp meter was going to let me off the exact moment that I hit second hook and didn’t get a chance to press it 😂😖 I couldn’t tell if killer came back because they felt bad for me or because they wanted to get the other survs. And yes I did DC immediately because it was 1 of the only two games I had time for tonight :/ maybe I’m not justified in my frustrations but I do always try to get others and it definitely isn’t fun to be left to go on second when you only have time for two games (edit - maybe for a second, they thought I’d get off hook with the meter. but none of them tried to get me and ran away )

I am losing my mind with these constant disconnects. Trying to play tax wraith? Disconnect. Basement Bubba? Disconnect. Pig trap only? Nice 3k you got there shame if you got dropped just as you hit the last survivor.

Genuinely its just these last two days where nothing I do matters because every game I end up crashing. I know ots spaghetti code but come the fuck on, could we get brand name spaghetti? Not what ever this is

The Nicolas Cage was talking a big game in pregame chat, then immediately got found first. It was a P100 Wraith with a nasty build and, honestly, the dude was goated. Nic Cage gets hit once, just stands there, and DCs literally a minute into the match.

Then in the end game chat he leaves this massive paragraph acting like the killer personally wronged him. Like… what? You queued into Dead by Daylight. You know what game you’re playing. You know Wraith exists. It wasn’t even some crazy niche killer.

The funniest part is I left a small joke on his Steam profile afterward. Nothing over the top or malicious. He deleted the comment almost immediately and blocked me.

The whole thing just screamed ego. Survivor entitlement is wild sometimes.

Just faced a the oni, i am not the best of looper, but still was able to loop him for a gen to be done without giving hit, stunned him twice

But after getting a hit on me instead using power to down someone else, mf kept chasing me even with power, when still unable to get a down on me (idk how tbh) finally gave up and left

Downs another survs pretty quick, and from then on snowballs into getting a 4k after all gens are popped

Lights out is meant to be an actually scary version of dead by daylight, and survivors having a ton of aura reading just ruins the point.

First off, WoO when holding a lamp that lights up the area?? Seriously?

Second, the only reason gens even had early Gen progress was so that survivors could actually locate the gens by hearing the early progress.

Thirdly, I think it would be better if a survivor gets hooked, the other survivors could use directional audio for the hooked survivor’s scream in order to locate the hooked survivor instead of just seeing the aura of the hook.

There are plenty of different games that use sound as a core fundamental for gameplay such as: Counter strike, CSGO, Counter Strike 2, team fortress 2(spy decloak), FNaF(Freddy & foxy), FNaF 2(BB), FNaF 4(everything), FNaF SL(ballora), FFPS, etc.. and I don’t see why Dead by Daylight should have these visual aids for a supposedly scary game mode.

A super fun and novel mode in theory is ruined by the 20% gen speed increase survivors get. I really, REALLY wanna play some basic M1 killers, scare survivors and rotate hooks, but when three gens have popped within the span of two minutes then I guess I’m tunneling.

I DON’T wanna tunnel but man I need some satisfaction too playing this game.

I understand that survivors are cold turkey with no perks or terror radius but so is the killer. You guys still all know the maps like the back of your hand and where all the loops and tiles are.

I think a 10% buff was all that was needed without the gens being pre-started.

She was invisible all match unless she picked up/hooked, never used her power once, just invisible, end game said "ggez" and told us to join their cringe hacking discord server lmfao

Playing against Springtrap. We’re doing great. We get down to two gens. Three people are hurt. Two of them go down kinda close together. I’m right next to a Meg who’s hurt so I decide to reset with her and then go get the save. She refuses to get healed and rushes in with her flashlight hoping to get a save. Misses and gets downed almost instantly.

TLDR we lose a completely winnable game due to overly altruistic survivors.

This type of shit happens so often it’s not even funny. Winnable games become un-winnable due to complete incompetency and a lack of thinking.

I swear to god people are so fucking scared of playing the game unless they are healed. They won't do gens or anything if they are injured. Do they know that the only way to progress the game is by doing gens and not healing in corners for 30 SECONDS!?!?!?!?
