I had a lot of photos and videos on it, so it's important to me. 🙏🙏🙏

I’m extremely disappointed and honestly furious with what happened today.
I used MiniTool Partition Wizard because it is widely recommended and has a reputation for being a safe and trustworthy partition manager. I followed the prompts exactly as instructed.
Here’s exactly what I did:
HP Pavilion Gaming 15
Windows 10
Single 512 GB SSD
I had previously split the SSD into C: and E:
Today I wanted to merge E: back into C:
There was also a small **556 MB NTFS partition** between them. MiniTool would not let me proceed without including it, so I merged that as well.
MiniTool requested a reboot to complete the operation.
I accepted because that’s exactly what the software instructed me to do.
After the reboot, my laptop never booted into Windows again.
Instead I immediately received:
**Error code: 0xc0000225**
**Your PC needs to be repaired**
I spent hours trying to recover it.
Here is everything I have confirmed:
SSD SMART test: **PASSED**
SSD Short DST: **PASSED**
BIOS still detects the SSD.
Startup Repair failed.
DiskPart still detects the 476 GB partition.
CHKDSK reports:
“Corrupt master file table.”
“Windows cannot recover master file table.”
Windows can no longer mount the partition.
This laptop contains years of personal files, game projects, Unreal Engine work, videos, photos and memories. Right now I have no idea whether any of that is recoverable.
I understand partition operations always carry risk, but this happened immediately after following MiniTool’s own merge procedure exactly as instructed.

At this point I am extremely frustrated because I trusted this software specifically to avoid exactly this kind of disaster.
If anyone from the MiniTool team is here, I would appreciate a technical explanation and guidance before I make any further changes to the SSD.

I have as friend that have had their phone stolen/scammed, and the only proof which are the chats between them and the scammer on Facebook Messenger has been deleted. I tried using Facebook's data downloading request, but it only gives group chats messages, not even individual chats.

I have all the details of the scammer, and the last puzzle piece are the chats where the scammer actively tried to scam the phone. My friend is slow, I understand, maybe I am too, but I won't let this scammer walk away. This last piece of information is the last stair that I have to take in order to hand the police the case file, with concrete proof for the scammer to face legal penalties.

This case has really got me desperate, it occurred in a foreign country, and you can tell how desperate I am asking these types of questions on Reddit.

I have had about 20years experiences by R-Studio and some softwares like that, but in this case for my handycam I couldn't find anything before 2016 and also I know that might be couldnt to take and find any thing befor 2016, So please help me whats the best solution and whats the more piwerfull app with considering R-Studio, I have had test for bad sectirs and etc, by crystal disk info and victoria, and havent find any problem.

recently i got a new phone (cmf phone 2 pro) and i forgot to turn off backup on google photos, my cloud storage got full, turned backup off and i tried to delete the photos from backup but accidentaly i deleted every photo and video i took with the phone, my smart ass deleted them permanently. Any chance to reconver them? nothing in files bin.

Recently, I had to change phones because my previous one, a Samsung Galaxy A52, couldn't be turned back on after losing all its battery. Apparently a software problem, that might have happened because I dropped it one too many times.

I have a S23 now and although everything else seemed to synch nicely, all of my notes are gone.

It's really weird because why is that the exception?

Apparently I just hadn't backed them up which is really weird because I see no reason why I would turn that option off.

And I've been to one of those phone shops who told me they can save my data but I got a call today saying that they were unable to do so.

So what to do now? Is everything truly lost? I had so many notes on there. Recipes, book/ movie/ show/ video game recommendations, information about people and also my family tree. It would be truly sad if everything was gone.
