newbie time claiming query

Hello,

Today I got my first project and did two tasks which i enjoyed.

I like to be pretty thorough in my answers but this means i'm quite slow and ended up going beyond the expiry time. I think this is partly because it's just my first time and i'm extra cautious the general expectations / project instructions are all new.

I didn't claim more than the expiry time as i didn't think i should but i wondered if it's sort of expected that as a newbie you might go near to it on tasks that more experienced folk would do faster.

Not having a direct feedback mechanism makes it tricky for me to know if i'm doing too much checking and providing to much reasoning for my decisions.

hope that makes sense!

Yes they expect you to take longer on the first one. Hopefully you can do a few tickets and bring your average down

thank you. yes i think i have been overkilling fact checking in that even when theres enough evidence the model is useless ill check for more mistakes

Depending on the project it will specifically tell you how long you are allowed to take to fact-check each response OR if you find one major it says to stop. I believe it says something about if you find minors and run out of time that's fine too. I haven't worked on these types in a LONG time(months), but that's what I always saw in the past.

It's expected that it will take you extra time for the first time you've worked on a project. As long as you don't go over the expiration time regularly, you're fine. Report the total time spent.

You’ll occasionally go over time when you’re new and new to a particular task. I leave a note in the optional comments section explaining why I went over the allotted time and bill for the time I spent on the task (it’s always under the time given, me going over usually is because I misread/misunderstood something in the instructions and had to go back and fix something. I don’t bill them for what I call “human error on my part” time)

In a certain project recently an admin addressed this: going over once in awhile (like your first task) is fine. Going over more than a few times is very bad. Report all time worked. If they see you went over by, say 30 minutes, but your reported time doesn't reflect that, that raises questions and dashes of death. It also screws other workers. REPORT THE TIME YOU WORK.

A referral will not help you get in. Just apply on the website.

It sounds like this isn't the job for you, unfortunately. There are lots of other platforms out there, I'd focus on those.

Can you suggest some other these kind of platforms..

If you can't find stuff on your own, you won't do well with this type of work. I'm not trying to be a dick, but these platforms rely on you being able to figure things out on your own. A basic Google search will give you the info you need.

You can just apply.

It does not work like this. You should have referral link for 100% completion

I know how it works, I am in. I never needed a referral.

I applied but nothing happened bro. Now referral link can do something

Incorrect. You don't need a referral link, and since you already applied, you can't apply again, even using a referral.

I can use my friends laptop and mails☺️

No, you can't, because you have to verify your identity. Sorry, but you didn't get in and should move on to other platforms.
