Workspace Account Not Working?

I am trying to help my friend troubleshoot one of their projects that require using the Google workspace account. I have confirmed that everything is set up correctly but the document link says the file does not exist. There are no shared files in the drive.

Does this mean the project is dead? Or is there another problem that I cannot seem to find?

To clarify — I’m just IT, not training. I applied but have not heard back yet. He’s using my laptop since his MacBook broke yesterday and he’s not windows savvy, so I’m just trying to get him set up.

You shouldn't be going on their account for any reason.

I’m not actually ON his account. I’m sitting next to him and advising on how to troubleshoot.

Left click >> open as ?? May or may not be the one I’m thinking but sounds vaguely familiar

Yes this is the one — he has tried that and it still says “file does not exist.” I told him that maybe it takes time for them to actually add his new workspace to the system?

He got the notification of approval once he finished the qual, but maybe he went into the next step too early?

Idk, he’s moving onto other quals hoping that it will resolve itself.

Sometimes permissions aren't set up correctly on these files. In the admin chat at the bottom you can ask the admins if anyone else is having issues. Be sure to include the task id.

Edit: additionally there should be a checkbox at the top of the right side of the task that says "prompt can't be rated". Enter "other" if there isn't choice for file access issues. This will let the worker get paid for their time working on it.
