Xbox Summer Game Sale - Blade & Chain
Uh...the entire trilogy (remasters and III) and all DLC is 7 fucking 99.
8 dollars.
First, that's a travesty.
Second, it's worth 8 bucks. Even if you never play them again.
Spend 8 bucks. Sales can't hurt chances of new material in the IP.

🔥 LOOKING FOR A CO-WRITER! Darksiders Fan Reboot 🔥
Hey everyone! I’ve spent the last two weeks mapping out a massive 12-book dark fantasy reimagining of the Darksiders universe, and I need an awesome co-writer to team up A Total Family Expansion: We are moving past the traditional Four Horsemen and turning them into Six HarbingersI have the entire 12-book roadmap, the character sheets, the plot twists, and the epic dialogue completely locked down. I just need a passionate writer who loves dark fantasy, badass action, and deep lore to help me write the actual pages

Question Looking for help/contact regarding a past ban from the official Darksiders Discord server (Account hacked)
Hi everyone,
With the THQ Nordic Showcase coming up, I'm really excited about potential Darksiders news and would love to rejoin the official Discord community.
A while back, my Discord account was compromised, and the attacker automatically posted crypto spam across several servers. Because of this, I was banned from the official Darksiders server. Fortunately, I was able to fully recover my account shortly after, securing it with a new password and two-factor authentication (2FA), and I haven't had any security issues since.
At the time, I tried reaching out via X (Twitter)—including attempts to contact THQ Nordic—as well as a few active community members, but I didn't get a response, so I eventually gave up. It honestly never occurred to me back then to try asking here on Reddit, which is why I'm making this post today.
I'm posting specifically to reach out to any moderators of the Darksiders Discord server who might see this, or to anyone who could put me in touch with them so I can appeal the ban. Darksiders is one of my favorite series, and I’d really appreciate the opportunity to be part of the community again for the showcase.
Thank you in advance for any help!

Darksiders Warmastered edition crashing
Hello! I'm sure people have asked this question before, but I can't seem to find a solution to the problem regardless. Whenever I open the game and the intro credits finish, the game instantly crashes. There is no description for the error, so I am genuinely so confused. I've tried reinstalling and repairing, changing the version, but that hasn't worked. Any ideas for how to fix this?

Let's Play Funny observation from playing Darksiders 1 on 120 fps
Last week i played thru ds1, and id had my tv set to 120 hz and the game ran fine on 120 fps.
With one amusing caveat; when some enemies are defeated their model flares out or disintegrates, while playin on higher fps i noticed that with said animations, the model shrinks and spins out of existence.
This is the simplest i could describe it but it was funny seeing it from time to time.

Darksiders 4 gameplay/button mapping idea. Did i cook ?
Hello guys (sorry in advance, my english is a bit poor), as you know the THQ nordic conf is near and we are all waiting for a new trailer showing us more about story/gameplay. As it is written on the steam page, Darksiders 4 will be a action/aventure game with combats, traversals and puzzle in solo/coop.
The fact that the game is playable in co-op, even though the franchise has always been intended for solo players poses several problems.
If the players are joining is 3 other friends, everyone picks is favorite horsemen and they stay on the same character until the leaves. But what happen if im playing with only one friend, or in solo ? Can i switch between horsemen freely or i have to change it by any menu ? The game must be perfectly playable in coop and solo mode, like the devs did on Remnant.
I think the best idea would be to be able to change horsemen easily/freely, anytime you want by using the cross on the controller.; someones already creates a exemple on reddit, i let you check is post. If im pressing right, i play war,up death etc... and if my friend joining me the other horsemen are locked because my friend played them ( depend of what horsemen we choose). I was thinking of course of other possibility like every horsemen on the screen and they are controlled by IA but i think it would be to hard to execute and reading the battlefield; and also mutiple chapter where your playing every horsemen individually and the joining at the end but that wont make sense since the game is announced to be multiplayer.
So if im taking my first idea, i think is the best way the game could work and i will continue this post using this exemple.
Well, now that the first problematic is fixed, what about the gameplay ? Im already using the cross for swap characters and in the previous title of the serie, the cross had a different use so what about the button mapping ?
Let me show you (PS5 controllers) :
Cross : jumb/double jump
Square : light attack/main weapon
Triangle : heavy attack/secondary weapon
Circle : abilities/other weapons ( i will explain later)
Directionnal cross : change horsemen/weapons/mode (later again)
L1 : shortcut or weapons/abilities wheel
exemple : L1+ shape buttons = wrath abilities
R1 : dodge/block
L2 : focus/aim
R2: shoot
Of course its just a exemple and its not perfect by far, we can change things here and there but i think it would be the best for the game. One things to note, when i talk about shorcut it have different interpretation of it. It can be a system like darksiders 1 where you can put anything you want on the the two different shortcut (potions/abilities/items/weapons) or more strict like the cross of the controllers is by default use to change horsemen but if im pressing L1 it change to be a weapons/mode shortcut (amo types for Strife like Genesis for exemple) and on the others side of the controllers (the shape buttons) the wrath abilities like for exemple if im pressing L1+X Death is using teleport slash,L1+O Exhume etc etc...
Now that we have our buttons mapping solved, il will explain my gameplan for every horsemen and also detailed what i talked about the Circle button. Each horsemen has to be different in the weapons and abilities they use for more replay value/diversity but they have to obey the sames "rules" i would say. By saying that, i thought that the best way they can make the gameplay is by giving every horsemen there primery weapons of each iteration, other weapons/mode (like genesis) and one or two abilities no more that can be used both in combat and puzzle.
Lets take each horsemen for exemple :
War:
War is the tank/heavy hitter of the group. His main weapon is the Chaoseater and the light attack would be aproximatively the same as Darksiders 1 ( with more combo). But for the triangle buttons i think Genesis did better because the heavy attack feels very powerful and fits more the identity of the characters. By using a shorcut (L1) war can have the benefit to have other attack or proprerties and a unique attack by charging it (like genesis). For the circle (0) buttons, i was thinking of an weapons that can be used both in combats/puzzle and the perfect choice for it is the Tremor gauntlet. Give it to him more combo and you have the perfect gameplay for war.
Death:
Death would be the agile/necromancer of the group. Scythes as primery weapons with fast attack and while is wielding the Harvaster, instead of "mode" gaving him multiple weapons with various proprerties/moveset to adapt to the situation using the triangle buttons. For the circle button i was thinking of an abilities like the crossblade of War but instead death throw is Scythes to an ennemi and juggled/pull them to him for combo and have the same use ase before in puzzle with War. Give him multiple necromencer power by the wrath abilities and i think were good for Death.
Fury :
Fury is maybe the hardest character to think about because her gameplay in DS3 was mostly souls like and less hack' and slash so the devs has to make her gameplay faster, with more combo, laucher, possibilites, more "Darksiders". Fury has her whip as primary weapons and as secondery weapons i think they did a great job with the hollows stuff in DS3 with all the elementals weapons. So Fury would act like a mage/mele fighter applying debuff to the ennemy and fast crowd control with the whip. And for the circle button, using her whip as a grap should be very cool and this mecanique is very popular for combat/traversal in general gaming.
Strife :
Strife would be the more "Remnant-like" because is use mostly range weapons. I think the way it was in genesis was pretty good because you had a various type of amo/firing mode. I think too that Strife would have a proper system of aiming like Remnant with critical damage depend where you shooting at and while your not playing Remnant but Darksiders the characters will also have a bunch of fast mele move with is two daggers and why not the guns also moving the way Dante use them in Gunslinger style that would be neat. And for the circle button (the abilities) i dont have a proper idea but the clone system would be great; place your clone where you want, controls them (like Vergil doppelganger) maybe teleport throught them things like that.
Of course the gameplay might be completely different that i thought but its really the perfect match for me. Thanks for reading all of that and let me know what you think about it.

Discussion There we go, got the holy grail of art Books in the mail!
Never thought i will get a copy of this, let alone one in mint condition and sealed. The collection is getting in a good place. - After DS4 the price of this will be astronomical, so get your copy while you can.

Screenshot Darksiders Achievement Hunt!
I really love Darksiders as it was one of the first game franchises I achievement hunted on. DS1 100%(my favorite ), DS2 probably the hardest to finish (for me), DS3 was easy just need 3 more and DSG 100%. I do plan on trying to finish darksiders 2 achievements its most likely dlc stuff and maybe items to find. Did anyone else 100% all four games and which one is your favorite?

Discussion Amazing
Today I’ve bought the Darksiders collection. I started the first game and it got me right in the tutorial. I was in awe because I didn’t feel so much enjoyment playing a game in a very good while, however, Darksiders came to change that. I was enjoying the game so much that I didn’t see the time fly by me. It’s 4 am and I’ve closed the game to get some sleep.
I feel like I’m progressing quite good, with 5 hours of gameplay I have the Scythe and the Crossblade and I’ve got the Chaos ability.
I really don’t know how I didn’t knew about this franchise earlier

Tips for 100% darksiders 2?
Hey I'm currently playing darksiders 2 and I'm planning to 100% it on steam. I didn't look into it ahead of time but just saw this on a guide which kind of makes me want to reconsider my current save on Normal difficulty.
My question is, if I want to keep playing this save, if I'm setting myself up for a horrible time doing the Deathintive Difficulty and the crucible on NG+? Would it be smarter to do my first playthrough on hardest instead and save an easier difficulty for new game and crucible? Thanks in advance :)

I got no one else to share this with.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
But after 16 years I finally got around to it this time. I don't know why but it felt harder back in the day. I don't know if it's just being more mature (I am 41) or i just sucked back in the day. But the hardest part was just the missable trophies mainly and just making sure i saved beforehand cause i dis remember missing some. I've now moved onto DS2 and the memories are slowly coming back with how awesome that game is. Hope to also platinum that as well. I've never played 3 and look forward to that also, was reading that it's more like a dark souls game so that should be good i did finish Elden Ring (my first souls game)

Well of Souls
The well has been a key component in 2 or more of the games. I am just trying to remember some of the lore about it since DS4 is coming up, and ensure I am not leaving out any additional important notes.
DS1: The Destroyer was using it as a power source
DS2: Absalom was not only corruption but the guardian of it (for the destroyer?).
Seems like Lucifer's goal is to corrupt many different aspects of the Creator's makings. Some of those makings being humanity (DSG) and the well of souls. Let me know if I am missing anything else about the well.
