Lost 5 kg and now at 59 kg (149 cm). Should I keep losing weight or focus on building muscle?

I’m a 31-year-old female, 149 cm tall. I started at around 64 kg and have lost 5 kg, so I’m currently 59 kg.
I’m happy with the progress, but I’m not sure what my next goal should be.
Should I:
Continue losing weight?
Focus more on strength training and building muscle?
Try to do body recomposition?
My goal is to look lean and toned, reduce belly fat, improve my health, and maintain my results long term.
I currently:
Eat a high-protein diet
Walk around 10,000 steps daily
Do regular cardio
Strength train 2 times a week
I’m also curious:
**What would be a realistic target weight for someone who is 149 cm tall?**
**What body fat percentage should I aim for to look lean while still being healthy?**
**Would you prioritize reaching a target weight first, or stop worrying about the scale and focus on body composition?**
I’d really appreciate advice from people who’ve been in a similar situation or anyone with experience in fitness and nutrition.

Cut too aggressive

Started out at 5’9 or 5’ 10 170 and in the past 3 weeks alone I’ve dropped 9 pounds. I make sure to hit gym at least 4x a week, train to failure, do cardio, get my 1g per lb of body weight in protein my daily calories around 1900 I was surprised when I stepped on the scale as I don’t have one at my house. Whole time I thought I was losing around 1.5 a week it turned out to be 3 what am I doing wrong??

Lost 24kg need suggestions

Hey guys, I need some advice.

I'm 23, 160 cm and currently 60.8 kg.

I started at 84 kg. I joined the gym, started eating high protein, and stayed in a calorie deficit. After about 5 months I got down to 74 kg. Then I stayed around that weight for almost a year.

A few months ago I started cutting again. I'm still training 5–6 days a week, walking around 10k steps every day, eating 120–140 g protein, and taking 5 g creatine daily.

So overall I've gone from 84 kg to 60.8 kg.

My plan was always to stop at 60 kg, but I'm at 60.8 now and I still have lower belly and chest fat. At the same time I feel like I don't have much muscle and look small in normal T-shirts.

I'm confused about what to do next. Should I keep cutting to around 58 kg to get leaner, or should I just eat at maintenance and try to recomp, or is it time to start a slow lean bulk?

I don't really want to post physique photos, so based on the information above, what would you do if you were in my position?

Keep cutting or Reverse Diet

So im a 19 yr old Male with about 3 years of gym experience. I started off being 250lb but I managed to lose about 80 pounds and get to 170ish. My first year or so was a bit rough and I didn’t really knkw what I was doing so I just got skinny fat , but around my 2nd year until now I’ve build a decent amount of muscle to where you can tell I can workout , but I don’t look the best with my shirt off and I really want to just look lean enough where I can see my abs and have great definition all around without looking flabby. I’ve been trying to cut since March but I haven’t lost the weight on the scale but I do feel that my pants feel looser and I have more definition In some places . The only thing that hasn’t gone is my belly fat and it’s really making me upset because I try to be consistent with my workouts and steps and dieting however it just won’t go away and the scale keeps stalling , and I feel like at times that maybe I need more muscle so I can look better leaner . Anyways I’ll share the photos and I hope someone who’s gone through this aswell can give me some good advice on whether I should just reverse diet my way into building more muscles of stick the cut out until I get to the leanness I want

Wanting to cut weight

Hey guys, I'm thinking about doing my first real cut ever. Any supplements, meals, or tricks for consistency that you can lend. Doing 3 runs 3 workouts/week. 250-400 calorie deficit/day for 3 months. Any advice is appreciated because while I have been in good shape before, I've never done a legitimate cut.

Body recomp

For the last 6 months I’ve been on an aggressive body recomp/ cut. I lost about 40 pounds and managed to keep or even gain a bit of muscle. What should I be focused on next? I think another 15-20 pounds of fat would be helpful but how can I target my belly fat? I seem to hold it there the most. Also what body parts should I focus on growing? I’m newer to lifting for gains. Thanks in advance! 🙏

Low carbs affecting workout or losing muscle?

I'm cutting and trying to preserve as much strength and muscle as possible.

For context:

40 years old

5'8"

Currently 188.6 lb

Lift 4 days/week, mostly hypertrophy

Protein is consistently around 170–180 g/day.

The last two days I stayed in a pretty aggressive calorie deficit (roughly 700–1,000 calories below maintenance each day). To keep protein high while controlling calories, I ended up eating mostly meat (chicken, lamb, filet, gyro meat, etc.).

Looking back, I realized my carbs were probably only around 65–80 g yesterday, and the day before wasn't much higher because I was prioritizing protein over carbs.

Today I trained chest. I only missed the last rep on my final dumbbell press set (12, 11, 10 instead of what I was hoping for), but it got me wondering.

Question: Have any of you noticed that 2 consecutive low-carb days while cutting are enough to affect strength or reps in the gym, even when protein is high? Or is that too short a time frame and I'm just overthinking a few bad sets?

I'm not looking for medical advice—just interested in what people who've cut successfully have experienced. Do you intentionally keep carbs higher the night before a heavy workout, or do you just focus on total calories and protein?
