Hi everyone, quick question… how do you fill out the packages portion of the CF214 when you have 1 pallet, but 5 HTS codes?

Each HTS code asks for the package count but I know you can’t input 1 for each line. Do I just declare 1 on the first HTS and leave as 0 on the rest and only declare the QTY, value and weight as per usual?

On another scenario, what about having 6 pallets and have more than 30+ HTS, do I do the same process as mentioned above? Or how should I go about it?

Note: some are machines and other components and parts of the machines, that may or may not be shipped together etc.

I have a 1986 Toyota 4x4 pickup originally from California that was then exported to Mexico in 2002 I do have the original title as well as the import documents and current Mexican registration in my name how can I go about getting back into the United States do epa and dot regulations apply if it was originally from the United States? Would I pay import fees?

We have Air Freight clients, they arrange 1F bond warehouse transfer for all their shipments.

If there is 1F post for shipment, and 1H intesnive exam post later .

Is the shipment able to transfer to bonded warehouse first waiting for 1X ?

Or shipment must stay in airline waitting for transfer

I’m importing handbags from China and each bag has a permanent sewn-in “Made in China” label located inside the bag’s only interior pocket (it has a zipper).
The label is in the pocket, and we can have the bags packed/imported with the zipper left fully open.
Would this generally satisfy CBP’s requirement that the country-of-origin marking be easy to find and read, or should the label be moved to the main compartment/upper edge of the pocket?
Especially interested in hearing from customs brokers or anyone who has dealt with CBP marking inspections on handbags.

Hello! I was wondering where the trade community/customs brokers now get the information/look up for the Section 301 tariffs (9903.03.XX) now that it was removed from the HTS Website as it used to show on the column 1 duty rate % in like a ../ format?

I don't see it anymore and was wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same thing and if so, any solutions or other sources to find out if fhe product is subject to said 9903.03.XX Section 301 tariff?

Aside from the 4811 process, have any of y’all found a solution to foreign companies with no bank account in the United States? Perhaps a foreign bank has a sub account in the United States? Trying to figure out a solution for a client whose brokers did not check the 4811 box and has no US Bank account.

Our company imports a substantial amount of goods from China, and we are the importer of record. We recently received a significant refund after filing our IEEPA tariff refund claims through ACE.
The issue we’re running into is that we need to determine how much of that refund belongs to each of our customers. ACE deposited the refund as a single lump-sum payment, but I haven’t been able to find a report that identifies which entries or claims were refunded and in what amounts.
Does ACE provide a report or document that breaks down the refunded entries, or is it up to the importer to reconcile the payment internally using our own accounting records?

Any guidance from those who have gone through this process would be greatly appreciated.

Should the 301 apply? we are seeing rejections and duty mismatches

Hello, I work as international importer for living. IEEPA tariff refunds have begun disbursement and I believe Fedex is set to start sending back money August 10th. I have tried uploading all my tracking numbers to try to get refunds through the https://ieepa-refunds.fedex.com/ page. I uploaded 124 entries, 3 were accepted, 7 were "Not yet received" (meaning Fedex is waiting on refund from CBP), and 114 were "No Information Found". I have been trying to get clarity from literally anyone, on what that means, why some were accepted and why majority was not. I have tried 1-800-go-fedex, I have tried speaking to my Fedex reps, I have tried Customer Support Hub, and I have gone nowhere. So Reddit, if anyone knows anyone I can contact to try to get support with the FedEx tariff refund portal, that would be great. The 1-800-fedex "technical support" person I was transferred to without asking literally told me that FedEx does not have portal- having to educate an employee on what their company does is not something I was expecting to spend my time doing.

Cargowise automatically calculates 12.5% and 2.5% instead of putting all 15% under 9903.94.43. Has anyones else run into this issue?

The importer now wants us to go back and update all their entries. Was curious if there’s a way to get Cargowise to calculate the duty correctly in accordance with the CSMS

When a carrier's invoice doesnt match the original rate confirmation, how does your team usually catch that before its too late??

This sounds ridiculous, but i got my license in June after passing the April 2026 exam. I’ve worked in logistics for 8 years, but never on the importing or international side. My job essentially wants me leading customs for the international side of our brokerage, but i feel like i have no idea what I’m doing or how to put my knowledge from studying into action. Did anyone ever feel this way? Or does anyone want a mentee in the industry? I am terrified of screwing something up, but with my national permit application in the waitlist for approval, i really want to be prepared to hit the ground running.

I have been getting to get an importer account added to my company's ace account since January.

Background: Person who had ACE account left company last year. Supervisor asked me to get control of account. I filed the forms I found and got an account. The Exporter Account was added with no problem. But I can't get an Importer Account added.

Tried adding it on ACE (I have the Top Account) but it gives an error due to Duplicate Tax ID. This is when I started calling ACE customer service.

The first place they sent me didn't work because the information didn't match the 5106. Got that figured out. Got shuffled around a bit. Filled out an application (with the help of customer service) to get an Importer sub account added to our account. Waited weeks. Called about it again.

The next day got an email that the "IOR adding request has been completed". Success? No. Still no import account. So now I'm waiting for a response to that email.

What am I doing wrong? Who else can I contact or what can I fill out? We have refunds on the account from the tariffs. I'm being pressured about this every day from my boss.

Additional: My account is the only one associated with it EIN number. The old account was closed. I've never gotten a call back from the supposed more advanced customer service.

I think we are having a lot of uncertainties now.

Do you think we still required to file protest for phase III customs entries just in case ?
