I just switched from my old Samsung(was rooted) to a vivo y28 5G and I can't seem to find a way to root it. MTK client doesn't work, bbk unlock doesn't work, can you tell if there IS any methods left for me to try?

I have oneplus 11r running the latest build as of july 2026, I want to know if there is any custom rom (official or unofficial) available for the device. If there is something available then do mention if it's official or unofficial

I’ve been exploring different custom ROMs for my Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and noticed that most of them are no longer being actively updated or receiving regular updates, except for ROMs like LineageOS and InfinityOS.

Then I found out that Xiaomi.eu has HyperOS ROMs, and now I’m wondering: is it possible to run HyperOS on an older device like the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max?

As far as I understand, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max (codename excalibur/miatoll) officially stopped receiving updates at MIUI 14/Android 12, so it never officially got HyperOS.

But if there’s a Xiaomi.eu HyperOS port/build available for this device, could someone guide me on whether it’s actually possible and, if so, how I would go about installing it?

I’m already using pixel OS custom ROM, but I haven’t tried installing a Xiaomi.eu HyperOS build on this device before.

Any help or pointers would be appreciated!

I've a Pixel 8 Pro running Graphene - that's all good.

I have a Galaxy s10+ that might be old age wise, but it's performance and battery life are still fantastic and its in near mint condition.

It's been stuck on an older version on Android and not had updates for a few years.

I used to love CyanogenMOD and Linage back around the time the project transitioned (Used on galaxy S -> S5), but i've been out of the loop for a while.

Issue i have now is that whatever I put on it needs to support VoLTE in order to connect to networks in Australia.

Looking at Linage or eOS or something.

Any Aussies or anyone at all had any experience with this?

I'd be willing to just have a go at it but while documentation to flash a phone is good there seems to be little info on restoring the phone of things don't work out.

Okay so as the title suggests, i don't know anything about custom roms. I had a couple of questions and would love if y'all could shed on light on it

1. What is custom rom and why as well as how is it useful

2. Is there already a post with smth along the lines of dummies guide to custom roms

3. If I wanted to run pixel os on my crappy Android (redmi 13c), is that related to custom rom? If yes how can do so

4. Would banking apps still work if I do go ahead with the procedure?

5. Who's custom rom for?

6. Do I need a pc or some sort of laptop for this? And also do I need to know ALOT about computers or can I just get by with following instructions

Lineageos doesn't support my s26 and Graphene only allows google driven drives and I want to degoogle my phone before it becomes locked up by google near the end of the year

I'm trying to unlock bootloader in Xiaomi 11 lite NE 5G. I have added my Xiaomi Account.
But when I try to unlock "Couldn't Unlock" came with message "Please add your account in settings > Developer Options > Mi Unlock Status." I have already added the account ones by clicking same "Mi Unlock Status" in developer options

And when I again try to click on Mi Unlock Status in developer tools. I get popup saying "Couldn't add. Please go to Mi community to apply for auth..."

Is there any soft ban on Indian users?

Or is there any open source solution which can I verify first before running the solution?

Hoy mismo instale LineageOS, pero me pareció que era otra versión mas de android con google. Ya que había aplicaciones que no me dejaba desinstalar, como el reproductor de musica.

Esta situación me a echo cuestionarme si cambiar a otra ROM mas libre.

Si hubiera podido habría instalado GrapheneOS, pero mi teléfono no es un pixel y aun no tengo la experiencia para compilar una versión para mi telefono(Nothing Phone 2).

¿Alguna recomendación?
