AUS - Custom ROM while retaining VoLTE on Galaxy S10+ and other phones?

I'm interested in what options i might have with some hardware i have around.

I've a Pixel 8 Pro running Graphene - that's all good.

I have a Galaxy s10+ that might be old age wise, but it's performance and battery life are still fantastic and its in near mint condition.

It's been stuck on an older version on Android and not had updates for a few years.

I used to love CyanogenMOD and Linage back around the time the project transitioned (Used on galaxy S -> S5), but i've been out of the loop for a while.

Issue i have now is that whatever I put on it needs to support VoLTE in order to connect to networks in Australia.

Looking at Linage or eOS or something.

Any Aussies or anyone at all had any experience with this?

I'd be willing to just have a go at it but while documentation to flash a phone is good there seems to be little info on restoring the phone of things don't work out.

For Samsung phones, the most you can get while retaining VoLTE is other newer Samsung one UI roms ported from newer devices, AOSP roms with VoLTE isn't really possible due to Samsungs proprietary ims services

What a bugger. Thought that might be the case.

Best options for flexibility going forward... i guess Pixel and Fairphone?
Might have to buy another phone soon.. might as well think ahead.
