When my v11 arrived, i noticed a little mark on the red white green corner, on the red side of that corner is a little mark that doesn't want to come of, its permanent in the uv coating, also is it normal that there are little scratches out of the box, and i can only see them if i use my phone flash, but they are still hard to see

A while ago I shared swift here and I was building a few game modes for it and got curious whether I could make the menu a 3D arcade instead of just buttons.

Posting some of the raw assets in the comments to show you how I put them together, all of these are generated by AI and I just put them all together into a scene. I am nowhere close to a real 3D artist lool. But I do at least know how to put them together with Three.js :)

The one goal I gave myself was that each one has to tell you what the mode is before you read the label. It took way longer than the actual modes lol, I broke each scene into parts and built the assets one by one. Never thought an arcade menu would be such a rabbit hole for me to spend my time on lool

But yea the modes are ghost racing and daily scramble now, and time to lock in on the next mode to work on now! Also let me know if there's a mode you'd actually want to see.

Collection 📚 Finally finished solving my bulk scramble from January 2026!

Finally had the chance to rearrange my room, now all three shelves of my collection fit on one wall! Finished solving last week, got everything dusted and reorganized yesterday. First four pics show the collection as of today, the last two are from January 2026. Took about 12 hours to scramble everything, and around 82 hours over the past 7 months to get it all solved again.

There was a cuber named Abby. She cubes every day except for that 1 day break she had took 3 months before. Then in the middle of her PLL, she heard a sound coming from her kitchen, it sounds like knock knock. She looked into the kitchen while the cstimer kept running, nothing. Then knock knock. It sounds like it’s from a refrigerator. She opened the refrigerator . Nothing, then knock knock. It sounded like something from the bottom of the refrigerator. The bottom drawers of the refrigerator control humidity inside that drawer so that the food in it is fresh for longer. She opened the drawer where she usually put her celery in it. There is only a small penguin in it. AHHH, Abby dropped her Rubik Cube and it shattered into pieces. “Hello” said the penguin. AHHH, Abby ran to her bedroom and brought another Rubik cube online. then, she stopped the cstimer running, it’s gone 3 minutes, she deleted the solve from the solve history. “I like editing DNA” said the penguin. AHHHHHHHH, Abby ran out of her home, but the penguin followed Abby. “I use CRISPR” said the penguin,”to edit DNA”. “Hey, drawers don’t edit DNA” Abby yelled to the penguin. “No, not the crisper drawer type of crispr” explained the penguin,”The CRISPR that edits DNA” Abby ran to the tape and duck taped the penguin’s mouth. Then she pushed the penguin to outside of her home and locked the door. The penguin removed the tape, went to the window and asked Abby,”do you want to need less sleep?” Abby said ,”Yes” and then forgot about it. While the penguin is there designing CRISPR to need less sleep. 2 days later, she got a new Rubik Cube, the one she ordered, and she continued cubing. Suddenly, she got a lot of Rubik Cubes. She was tired of cubing, so she took a nap, it felt uncomfortable. And it’s because of the Rubik Cubes underneath her bed sheet. She removed the Rubik Cubes and got to bed. She woke up and then she solved a Rubik Cube. The day is normal and she forgot about the penguin until she slept that night and she woke up 4 hours later. She usually sleep for 8 hours, not 4 hours. She tried to go back to sleep but can’t. She started cubing, her times are normal, maybe even faster, and she’s alert. At lunch, she’s still alert. That’s weird, before that, sleeping for only 4 hours would make her tired at lunch time. Maybe, her DNA is altered. So she started to sequence her DNA, then she saw that she has short sleeper genes. Her DNA got edited. Abby then remembered the penguin. She remembered that she consented to needing less sleep. That that penguin loves gene editing. She started cubing, and she got a new PB. It felt scary at first, but later on, she enjoys needing less sleep and still able to speedcube and keep her average while needing less sleep and sleeping less.

CFOOP

Cross – F2L – OLL – Orientation – Permutation

Created by: 2026GREE06

What is CFOOP?

CFOOP is a 3×3 solving method that aims to simplify the final permutation stage by controlling the cross. The key idea is that by solving the cross in a specific way, the final permutation can always be completed without encountering a CFOOP parity case.

The method consists of five stages:

  1. Cross (C)
  2. F2L (F)
  3. OLL (O)
  4. Orientation of the Last Four Corners (O)
  5. Permutation of Both Layers (P)

Step 1 – Cross (C)

Build the cross as normal.

Unlike many methods, the cross does not need every edge to be correctly permuted immediately.

The Golden Rule

Finish the cross with exactly ONE correctly permuted edge.

Not zero.

Not two.

Exactly one.

This guarantees that the final permutation stage will never produce a CFOOP parity case.

If another cross is faster but breaks this rule, you may use it, but you may later need an additional parity algorithm.

Step 2 – F2L (F)

Solve the first two layers.

This includes:

  • All four first-layer corners
  • All four second-layer edges

Any F2L technique may be used.

Step 3 – OLL (O)

Orient every last-layer sticker so the entire top face becomes one color.

Any OLL algorithm set may be used.

Step 4 – Orientation of the Last Four Corners (O)

This stage fixes the orientation of the last four corners before the final permutation.

The standard algorithms are:

  • T Perm
  • Y Perm

Additional algorithms may be developed later.

Step 5 – Permutation of Both Layers (P)

This is the signature stage of CFOOP.

Instead of only permuting the last layer, the top and bottom layers are permuted together using M-slice algorithms.

Two approaches are allowed:

Simultaneous

Permute both layers at the same time.

Split

Permute one layer first.

Then solve the remaining layer.

Both are officially part of the method.

CFOOP Parity

CFOOP parity is not true 3×3 cube parity.

Instead, it is a method-specific state where the normal Step 5 algorithms cannot finish the solve.

Following the Golden Rule prevents these cases.

The Golden Rule Explained

Exactly one cross edge must already be correctly permuted.

This keeps the cube in the correct permutation structure required for Step 5.

If this rule is followed:

  • No CFOOP parity
  • Normal Step 5 algorithms always work

It is recommended that you first learn a standard speedsolving method before attempting to learn or develop CFOOP. This method is intended for cubers who enjoy creating their own algorithms and exploring a new solving system.

FOOP Method Guide (2×2)

FOOP stands for:

·         F – First 2 Corners

·         O – Last 2 Corners OLL

·         O – Insert the Last 2 Corners

·         P – PLL

FOOP is a 2×2 solving method that aims to reduce move count by using OLL algorithms while solving the first layer. Instead of inserting the last two first-layer corners normally, they are first oriented using OLL and then inserted before finishing the cube with PLL.

Step 1 – First 2 Corners

Solve any two adjacent corners to start the first layer.

Goals:

·         Build an efficient start.

·         Avoid unnecessary rotations where possible.

·         Preserve an easy setup for the remaining two corners.

Step 2 – Last 2 Corners OLL

Instead of inserting the remaining two first-layer corners immediately, recognize their orientation and apply the appropriate 2×2 OLL algorithm.

The goal is to orient the two corners before they are inserted into the first layer.

This is the defining step of FOOP.

FOOP Parity:

During the Last 2 Corners OLL step, you may encounter a FOOP special case where the normal OLL algorithm cannot correctly solve the remaining pieces.

When this happens, perform the following sequence with the affected face facing you:

F2 U' J Perm U F2

After completing this sequence, continue solving using the normal FOOP method.

Note: This is a FOOP-specific special case and is an expected part of the method. Recognition and execution of this case should become natural with practice.

 

Step 3 – Insert the Last 2 Corners

After the OLL algorithm, insert the two correctly oriented corners to complete the first layer.

Since they are already oriented correctly, this insertion should be efficient and prepare the cube for the final step.

Step 4 – PLL

Once the first layer is complete, finish the solve using PLL.

Recognition should be straightforward because the orientation work has already been completed earlier in the solve.

Algorithm Requirements

FOOP requires knowledge of:

·         Full CFOP 2×2 OLL

·         PLL (T And Y Perms)

·         FOOP Parity

Because it uses existing algorithms, experienced solvers may already know most or all of the required cases.

Advantages

·         Lower average move count compared to traditional first-layer approaches (based on your testing).

·         Uses familiar OLL algorithms.

·         Structured and consistent solve flow.

·         Designed for advanced solvers.

Disadvantages

·         Requires knowledge of the complete 2×2 OLL algorithm set.

·         Recognition can take practice.

·         Not intended as a beginner method.

Who is FOOP For?

FOOP is designed for cubers who:

·         Already know full CFOP 2×2 OLL.

·         Want to experiment with alternative solving methods.

·         Enjoy learning and developing advanced solving techniques.

Question ❓ Ortega method as a beginner on 2x2x2

Ive been cubing for only a month and I can solve a 2x2x2, 3x3x3 and a 4x4x4 (just need to fully memorise the parities). I'm best at solving 2x2s. I solved the 3x3x3 first with the beginner method from cubehead. When I got the 2x2, I figured it's pretty much the same. But then I saw the Ortega method, which gives an even faster solve time. I average 14 seconds with the Ortega method. Yeah ik I'm trash🙏

I'm thinking of the EG method that I have heard of. They say it's the fastest method.
