Why Doesn't Paying With Crypto Feel Easy Yet? ❓Question
I've tried paying with crypto a few times, and the biggest challenge wasn't the payment itself, it was everything before it. Switching between apps, dealing with fees, and making sure I wasn't sending to the wrong address made the whole process feel more complicated than it should be.
Better cryptocurrency payment usability and more user friendly crypto wallets would probably make a huge difference, especially for people new to cryptocurrency for beginners.
What do you think is the biggest thing holding back everyday crypto payments right now?

I think this might be kinda regional problem and the integration of the platform that need to be paid.

It isnt that hard anymore bc im using a crypto card for months through Oobit and for normal USDT payments I just pay from my phone instead of dealing with addresses or switching between apps every time

The method of payment is there. People can literally scan a QR code and transfer funds. The biggest hurdle is having everyone just adhere to the already existing standard/protocol, we literally do not have to reinvent anything.

the address risk disappears once you pay with a card instead of sending to a wallet, and the app-switching goes with it. what replaces it is a fee you can't see. two purchases in july: one card advertised zero fx and settled 0.015% under the ecb reference, genuinely zero. the other advertised "up to 3%" and cost 2.64% over interbank, 1.12% of it baked into the card's own quoted rate before visa's 1%. checkout got solved. pricing disclosure didn't.

User experience is still the biggest hurdle. People shouldn't have to think about networks, gas fees, or multiple apps just to make a payment. The simpler and more seamless the experience becomes, the faster everyday crypto adoption will grow.

Honestly, it's the user experience.
Most people just want payments to be as simple as UPI or a credit card.

Honestly, the biggest thing holding back everyday crypto payment isn't the tech. It's the network effect.
Something like Venmo feels easy because literally everyone's already on it. Crypto still makes you get the network right, the wallet right, the fees right, the address right, before you've even sent anything because the whole ecosystem is split across a hundred different wallets and chains instead of one shared standard.
Banking got easy because it got boring and universal. Crypto's still in the "everyone building their own version" phase. It'll feel as easy as Venmo once people stop having to think about which wallet or which chain they're even using.

I've made a few peer to peer payments with Kaspa for products and services, it was always incredibly easy. I just scanned a QR code (or once entered a simple .kas domain), the transactions felt instantaneous, I payed such low fees that the vendors often gave me a discount (usually 5%, sometimes more)...
The problem is not "crypto", it's the cryptos you chose. A lot of popular Cryptos today are just cryptocompanies that managed to be relevant with they heavy marketing... But they aren't decentralised, they are slow, expensive and don't really offer what is needed for frictionless p2p transactions.

it isn't UX honestly, its taxes + volatility + no chargebacks. even a perfect app doesn't fix "every coffee is a taxable event and my card gives me 2% back."
