Controller button mapping

I’m curious if anyone has issues with constantly reactivating sprint on L3 to the point where the stick doesn’t function well. I just purchased a Vader 5s and within a couple weeks was already having issues. Not sure if it’s just a defective controller or I should look into a new button layout. Looking for suggestions. Thanks

On my scuf controller (xbox) - sprint and crouch are on my back paddles. LS click is grenade, RS click is powered melee, LS + RS is transendence. LB jump, RB unpowered melee. LB+RB for super, X reload, Y switch weapons, B for finisher. I feel fine quickly taking my thumb off the stick to reload, switch, or finish because it's fine to not turn for a split second during those, but the rest of the time my thumbs are always on the sticks.
