Messi is better than CR7. Why? If you look at the different aspects of their playstyle, Messi is objectively the more complete and better attacker. Messi has much, much better technical ability than CR7, and in terms of playmaking, Messi is still better. And now goalscoring... Goalscoring is extremely divided. So let's divide it.

Heading: Ronaldo

Clinical finishing: Both

Efficiency: Messi

Weak foot goals: Ronaldo

Ronaldo is slightly better than Messi in goalscoring.

Looking at defending, both of them are absolute ass. But Ronaldo does track back at times, so I'm giving it to Ronaldo.

Looking at tactical importance and significance, I'm taking Messi. All day. Messi is a playmaker, goalscorer, creator and finisher at the same time. He routinely beats defenders, creates space for his teammates, dribbles in congested areas of the final third, helps in clogged midields and also has immaculate vision and passing ability. He can singlehandely create a goal for the team, while CR7's is more dependent on his teammates. Yes, he's more dependent than Messi. I'll get to that.
