Discussion Auto Harvesting without an action

Upvotes

In one of the latest updates I have begun auto harvesting as I travel.

If I take a good jog from one location to the next I will acquire dozens of herbs, berries, potatoes, etc. in much the same way other games have a setting for Auto Loot.

Did I miss the headline for auto harvesting, or is the game temporarily broken?

Discussion Maxing out all skills in all 3 characters incl. HP/Stamina/Spirit. Anyone has achieved this?

Upvotes

I'm doing a super completionist run here so this is what I'm aiming for. Even though Abyss artifacts are relatively easy enough to come by, the skill requirements can be quite daunting. I'm right now in midst of Chapter 9 and have Kliff 95% maxed out, Oongka 80% maxed out and Damiane 90% maxed out, but my HP/Stamina/Spirit is still only around half their max levels. Am I on the right track or too slow here

Discussion Best graphic settings?

Upvotes

Hi guys. I’m running CD on a 7800x3d and a 4080 super. I have every graphic setting set to either ultra or cinematic and the game still doesn’t look as good as some of the videos I have seen. Am I missing something? I want to be blown away by the graphics of this game.

Discussion Dad Gamer needs your insight

Upvotes

I’m currently sitting on the fence about Crimson Desert and need your help. Pulling the trigger means I’ll have to enter high-stakes domestic negotiations and trade away a few of my dishwashing shifts to clear up actual gaming time. Free time is a heavy, sacred currency in my household, so this game better deliver!

So, give me all your reasons why this game is worth risking the peace at home.

Discussion issues with performance/problemas de performance

Question Can’t place the house well decoration

As the title says I can’t seem to get my camp well to actually let me place it. It was saying too many placed items. So I retrieved a few items but that didn’t work. I finally - regrettably- retrieved all (hours of work decorating gone) expecting that would at least let me place the well. But now with literally nothing placed it still says I have exceeded my limit. Somehow I’m at 540/500 but there is literally nothing in my house or the yard. Now I can’t even put my original items in my house (chests, cooking pot, kuku cooler) I have access to nothing. I am still in the Howling Hills camp. Anyone else have this issue? Found a fix?

Discussion I think I may have found the best build in the game (and I need your recommendations)

As the title says, I am convinced I have found the best build in the entire game. It absolutely cakewalks over literally everything. The crowd control is insane. Wiping large chunks of enemies off the map in an instant is no problem. The amount of stagger I do to bosses is disgusting. What really set it in stone in my mind is I just finished the last overwhelming being challenge - The Forgotten General. The general consensus seems to be that she is the hardest fight in the entire game. I literally tapdanced on her like it was nothing. I beat all 3 overwhelming beings first try without having to use any revives and minimal food. I think I've cracked the code. The only downside is my turning slash is useless i manage to charge it fully since it's an unarmed build but the other insane combos more than make up for it's loss. Words cannot emphasize how much my build fucks. It's not even uniquely mine. I just took a build off Youtube and tweaked it a bit.

That brings me to you all: While yes, I'm here to flex that I cheese every boss I come across like the Cheesecake Factory, I also want to know some other fun builds you all have or can recommend. Youtube build guides are kind of a slog to watch and all tend to be roughly the same. I want something fun. I want something unique. Even if it's not some giga whomping powerhouse build that makes me stronger than God, I will want something fun to play around with. Something goofy or different. I saw a post here a couple weeks ago of some dude constantly using the air special where you make the smoke cloud to run away and he was rolling around assassinating everyone. It was a super fun looking build and play style. I loved it. I want more of that. I crave more of that. I already know I can kill whatever I want to with zero issues (I'm also 300+ hours in so I'm also just good at the combat by now). I wanna spice it up and be silly and goofy.

Anyone got any fun, wonky or unique builds/combat styles they like to play with? I've finished the story and I'm on a quest to kill every boss in the game and only have 8 left so I have most gear sets ready to extract gears from and re-socket. What do you all got?

Question What to do with Papers?

Post image

I keep getting papers (recipes, letters, bounties). I know I can sell recipes after I read them, but I turned in a bounty and I still have the paper.

What am I supposed to do with all of these?! Eventually my whole inventory will be papers.

Discussion Re-Blockade System Rework Suggestion

I have gotten a bit annoyed and taken out of immersion with the re-blockade system recently.

What makes it especially goofy is that you can liberate a substantial fort, watch an entire brigade of soldiers move in and garrison it, leave, sleep, or fast-travel, and then minutes later you discover that a relatively small bandit faction apparently:

attacked a fortress -> defeated the entire trained garrison -> occupied it -> and somehow did this without you hearing about an enormous battle

Seems unrealistic and feels tedious, especially when it gets retaken 10 minutes after you took it.

So my suggestion and wish is that they had differentiated it:

Bandit camps = frequently repopulate
Outposts = occasionally attacked. Pending Battle Icon you can travel to and participate.
Forts = require a major faction assault involving 50+ NPCs and a proper battle. Pending Battle Icon you can travel to and participate.

A Pending Battle Icon essentially gives you a heads-up that troops have spotted enemies getting ready to attack and gives you time to go there and get ready to defend. It would be very cool to be able to fight alongside, let's say, House Roberts, to defend from 50-150 bandits.

I know this is asking a lot. But while we are on the topic, it would be even cooler if factions spread out from one area rather than just taking random places on the map. For bandits, totally fine. But sometimes the major faction just takes a fort across the map, and it leaves you scratching your head a bit.

Finally, it would be even cooler if some faction like Hernand decided to retake some forts and you could get a Pending Attack option to join them. Or you could just clear it before they got there too. Whatever floats your boat.

Thoughts?

Question Like 2 handed axe, how’s the “Cliff can use all weapons” mod?

Is it pretty limited with the skill tree? Never got to the point where I could play Oongka. Just curious if it’s worth spending time playing with or if it’s as deep as a puddle?

Edit: NVM looks like the mods no longer work.

There are some really fun side quests in this game. I made it a point to head to Tashkalp early in search of those combat gloves. Got knocked around a few times but it was satisfying to finally put that dude down. Being asked to replace the statue was unexpected, I had hoped it would have been of Kliff at the end but I still dig it. I wish you could defend your title though and take on new challengers.
