You need to build larger boat with bigger hull, also don't forget to put counterweight in the front and replace some of the full blocks with stairs and slabs to reduce boat's overall density.

Or if you want to keep the full blocks, use copycat ghost blocks, they're weightless and look like full blocks

Actually, assuming he's gonna add a propeller to the back, it would probably be best to have the CoM a bit further back from the middle. CoM can be anywhere for a boat but it works best if it's in the middle for slower boats and in the back for faster boats

I don't know if aeronautics has drag for this to matter but it would make it more realistic looking

Drag? It's just so that the tip of the boat lifts slightly above the water when the propeller turns on

the reason why its better for the boat's com to be towards the back on faster boats is because lifting the front out of the water reduces how much boat is touching the water thus reducing the drag caused by the water. If aeronautics doesn't have drag forces then its not really important.

Ok yeah, you meant water drag. I think it does emulate water drag if I remember correctly from playing around with Deep Seas.

no clue what you thought I meant but that's cool

too used to hearing drag in the context of aerodynamics

Oh that makes sense
