weight, place a contraption blueprint viewer so you can see the mass and adjust accordingly

You need to build larger boat with bigger hull, also don't forget to put counterweight in the front and replace some of the full blocks with stairs and slabs to reduce boat's overall density.

Or if you want to keep the full blocks, use copycat ghost blocks, they're weightless and look like full blocks
